"Let's play chicken!"
"I call Tim's team!" (Y/N) shouted.
"Well I call La'gaan's team! He's stronger!" Beast Boy shouted, trying his best to run through the water.
"A challenger approaches!" Bart cannonballed in right on top of the rest of them, and popped up out of the water next to Jaime.
"Oooo, making it difficult," (Y/N) wiggled her brows at Tim.
Tim grinned back, took a deep breath and disappeared under the water, coming up with (Y/N) on his shoulders. "We can take 'em, can't we, (Y/N)?"
Punching her fists in the air, (Y/N) whooped and hollered. Gar replied with monkey screeches, swinging his way up onto La'gaan's shoulders as Bart struggled to get up on Jaime's
Cissie watched with delight from where she was sunbathing with Traci.
"Three...two...one..."
"FIGHT!" Steph and Cassie screamed from above. Cassie dropped into the pool with Steph on her shoulders, and (Y/N) suddenly had to defend in four directions at once.
"You good?" Tim shouted up to her.
"Just keep us upright!" She shouted back, lashing out to kick the water in Jaime's direction. Blue Beetle stumbled backwards, sending Bart tumbling over into the water. (Y/N) cackled with delight. One down, two to go.
Steph was lashing out furiously with limbs and water, and she wasn't backing down anytime soon. Cassie had a firm grip on Stephanie's legs, and her own legs planted firmly on the floor of the pool, preventing either from falling. Gar, on the other hand, had turned into an octopus, blocking off both opponents. La'gaan was the equivalent of "you're doing amazing, sweetie," recording all of Gar's moves on his (obviously) waterproof phone.
"That's cheating!" (Y/N) shrieked. She had not thought through playing a game with a group of competitive teenage superheroes when her team was lacking in the superpowers that nearly everyone else displayed.
"You only say that because you're losing!" Gar goaded. One of his eight legs reached underwater, ticking Tim behind the knee. With a yelp, Tim fell to the side and dropped (Y/N) in his momentary fear of seaweed.
"(Y/N)!" He shouted, and dived in after her, hauling her to the surface.
"Tim, it's only six feet." Cassie deadpanned, the game was paused in Tim's moment of heroics.
"Yeah, but I didn't know if she was in shock or not," He defended, red-faced.
"Tim," (Y/N) placed her hand on his bare shoulder. "Thank you."
Tim shook his head to erase his blush. "We should have banned superpowers," He glared at Garfield and La'gaan.
"But we didn't," La'gaan reminded him.
Cassie glanced up at Steph, who shrugged innocently. She had no superpowers to speak of.
"In that case," In a blur, Cass punched La'gaan in the gut. When he bent over in pain, Gar finally slipped off his shoulders.
"Yay! We win!" Steph cheered from her vantage point on top of Cassie.
(Y/N) smirked at Cissie and Traci, sneaking up behind the other girls.
"Dogpile!" She shouted.
Gar barked, and everyone descended on Steph and Cassie, determined to bring them down.
