Chapter 2| solo mission

Dino's holoform^
I was sitting in my office, trying to concentrate, I was avoiding Dino with all cost. Even it was only a day since he arrived I disliked the mech already. I huffed angrily and grabbed another file. My brother and I were working on a case that was linked with the Decepticons. We first thought about weapon treat, that the Decepticons had human ally's to do the dirty work for them. But I wasn't so sure about that anymore.

I was aware of the connection between a company and Soundwave, but why they were linked, I had no clue. I was hoping to find someone who could tell me more. In the last few months, there was Decepticon activity, but it was so quiet right now. Like they were hiding in the shadows. The thought gave me the chills.

I sighed and leaned back, staring at the bookcase at my right lost in my own thoughts. I hadn't even heard Dino walking in and look around. "So this is where you work,"
I perked my head up and glared at him "Get out! This isn't your office!" I snapped. "It actually is now," he replied. I gritted my teeth "No it isn't!" I snapped and got up, pointing my knife at him. He simply pushed the point of the knife aside. "Get out," I snarled. "No... you know we have to work together, and you know I am your superior. If you like it or not, it's not gonna change!" he stated and crossed his eyes.

"I wanna snap your neck right now!" I growled. He hummed "Piss off Mirage! You don't belong here!" I snapped and pushed him aside. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back "Make sure you eat something!" he said. I pulled my arm back "I don't need you to tell me what to do! And if you want to have this than fine! But I am not gonna work with you in the same room!" I snapped and pushed him aside.

"Why on earth are you so difficult! Don't you understand I am here to help you?" he asked as he followed me. "Did I ask for that!" I snapped. "No, but-"
"Precisely! So that means you can piss off and leave me alone!" I snapped. "You know I can't do that! Why don't we start over and pretend this never happened?" he asked. "Why would I?" I snapped. He sighed and gazed at me "I am not waiting for you and you should do whatever you came here to do! As long as you don't block my way! I am not gonna work with you anyway! And if you wanna fire me then fine! I am the best in this country, probably the best spy in the world so I can find work anyway!" I snapped.

Dino halted "You're so fragging complicated, I am not trying to take your place here! I want to work with you!" he said. "I didn't ask for that!" I snapped. "I work alone or with my brother, but he isn't here so... I work alone then!" I snapped. "I am sorry for your loss... Lennox told me he was your twin brother!" he said. "I don't need your pity!" I snapped and turned around. "Cat please... wait a sec!" he sighed and blocked my way.

"Please... I don't wanna force things!" he said. "Force things!" I spat. "You just walked into my life and think you can rule over me! You have no right to force me anything!" I spat and pushed him aside. "That's not what I meant!" He said as he sprinted after me. "That absolutely what you meant, Mirage!" I snapped. He rolled his eyes "It's Dino!" He growled. "I don't care! Now out of my way! I have work to do and you're keeping me up!" I snapped.

"You're supposed to share it with me!" he shouted after me. "Read the damn files Mirage! If you wanna know it so badly! But I am not gonna tell you a damn thing!" I snapped. Mirage glared at me "And stay out of my way!" I barked before I disappeared.

"Cat!"

I perked my head up and glanced at Lennox "You shouldn't treat Dino like that!" he sharply said. "He's here as a guest! I work alone or not! But I am not gonna work with him! I can't stand him!" I growled. "Well... the fact is... he's your boss..." he stated. "he's not... you and Optimus are!" I said, trying to stay calm.

"I know it's hard, but Dino is a good mech!" He stated. I huffed and stormed off "Cat!" I groaned and stopped, turning around. "Mirage will never replace you! But you have to accept him! I am sure he is able to help you out with things and maybe he's a good mental support," He said. I huffed and rolled my eyes. "I didn't ask for his help!" I snapped.
