Chapter 5| Regret

The next day, I woke up and saw Mirage was gone. I sighed and rolled on my back, thinking about what happened last day.

I allowed him to make me sleep. I wasn't sure if I was angry or not. It was a sign I was letting him in and I didn't want that, I didn't want to get attached to him. I groaned and got up, beginning my daily routine.

In the cafeteria I looked out of the window, thinking. "Morning, Cat!" I jolted you and looked shocked at Mirage who gave me an apologizing look. "I didn't want scare you," he said as he sat down next to me.

He placed some files on the tables "What's that?" I asked. He started to smile "I wanna figure out what happened to you," he began. I sucked in a breath as he continued. "Maybe we can find more information,"

"Why do you wanna know?"

He glanced at me "cuz obviously something happened to you, and I need to know what!" He said. "It's the past, Mirage," I sighed, resting my head on my hand. "You don't understand! Whatever happened to you-..."

"No! Mirage please! Okay! I try to forget about my past! To many painful memories and I don't wanna know what happened to me, I don't care," I snapped and got up. "Cat! Wait a sec!"

He sprinted after me and blocked the doorway. "We can do this together, okay... maybe it's important," he said. I sighed annoyed "leave the past, Mirage... I'm not asking about your past either and... I don't give a shit about the past, I know how to deal with what happened and finding out what happened isn't one of that! So stop it," I growled.

"Don't ruin it again..." I sharply added.

Mirage looked down and nodded "sure..." he grumbled but I didn't believe it. "You're gonna find out without me! But I can assure you won't succeed, my files are destroyed..." I grumbled. "Why!?"

"Stop it, Mirage! I'm a spy too and I don't let you interrogate me!" I sneered. He sighed as I pushed him away. I stormed over to the archive and grabbed some files before I headed towards the office.

"I'm not stupid, Cat... I know you're working on a new case," he said as he came in. "Why are you so annoying!" I sneered. "Cat!" He warningly said. I gritted my teeth and glared at him.

"give me the file, Cat,"

I jumped up "why do you treat me like a toddler! I am a spy as well and I don't need your damn help!" I shouted.

"We both know you're not yourself lately and I want that damn file!" I snapped back. I snitched it off the desk and threw it at him. He groaned as he grabbed it.

Angrily I scanned the office and grabbed a glass. He yelped and jumped away in shock. Glass shattered all over the floor "get out!" I screeched. He backed off with some worry over his face.

"You have done enough for today!" I spat and grabbed another glass. "You got what you wanted! Now get out!" I screamed. He flinched and quickly left.

((Dino's P.O.V))
My spark was pounding like crazy, and I quickly left this whole wing, just in case she decided to shoot me back to Cybertron. "Dino, what happened to you! It looks like you saw a ghost!" Epps snorted.

"Femme was angry,"

Lennox raised a brow "what happened?" He sighed. "It started this morning when I began to ask things over her past because the night before she was open about it, but now, she wasn't," I said. "it's painful for her to talk about it! She will block you out," Lennox said.

"There are so many secrets in her past, I wanna know what happened!" I stated. "Mirage... you shouldn't try, she doesn't want it," Lennox said. "It's Dino," I muttered. "Hey! You're supposed to help her!" Lennox said. "How exactly! She freaked out when I asked for this poor damn file!" I hissed.
