I hadn't talked to Mirage since our argument of this afternoon. He didn't came to search for me either which was perfect. I had spent the entire time in the woods on my own. Scared to go back because Mirage would be there. He's just talking bullshit.
My back was hurting again. Apparently the painkillers weren't working anymore.

It was already dark and I had missed dinner. I cared less and just kept sitting on the rock next the creek, listening to the sounds around me. I am not going to deny I was hungry.
Around 11 pm, I walked back. Like I had predicted Mirage was there. Not a big surprise, we shared a room together and I swear, if I find the person who made me share a room with him, I am going to kill him personally. He was reading a book at the dim light, sitting on our bed.

"Got you some dinner."

He pointed at the small wooden bureau. I huffed and closed the door but sat down and started eating. He said nothing and it made me wonder if he was mad or something. Probably, I scowled at him for no reason but he really started to work on my nerves.
As I was done, I got up. "Leaving again?" He asked. "Like you care, traitor!" I snapped. "I do, but you'll come back. The temperature is going to drop drastically this night and there will be a chilly breeze. You will suffer from hypothermia," he said. "Oh, so now you started to give weather forecasts!" I mocked angrily. He didn't respond "do you really think you can break me?!"

"Break you?! Hmp... I don't have to break you! You are breaking yourself and it's only matter of time," he stated. "Just like I know that if you leave now, you're going to be back in probably about an hour and steal my body heat," he mocked. "Yeah right!" I snapped, leaving again.
The temperature had dropped indeed. I sat down on the porch of the canine, pulling the sleeves over my hands while leaning against the wooden railing supporting the stairs.

My muscles were stiff within half an hour, aching while the cold breeze started to bite through the layers of clothing I was wearing and through my skin to get my bones. That stupid piece of frag was right, but I am too proud to give in. In distance, I saw his alt-mode shinning underneath the moonlight. He doesn't even need to share a room with me, he can easily deactivate his holoform. Mirage is just doing it to piss me off.

It was passed midnight, around 2 am when I got up. I couldn't stand the cold anymore. My legs didn't want to work, like they were frozen to the wooden stairs. I walked inside, back towards the room I was forced to share with that Autobot spy.
Mirage laying in bed and nicely covered with two blankets was asleep. I could hear it because of his breathing. As I closed the door, his eyes snapped open like he noticed my present. "Took you long enough," he whispered sleepily. "Fuck off, Mirage!" I snapped.

I removed my shoes and pulled on my PJ, mirage had his back towards me anyways. I laid in bed, which was already warm. "If you want warmth, you have to come closer," he said. I huffed and turned my back towards him. "Whatever you want," he sighed. "What are you trying to reach with this!"

"I am not going to argue with you, not now," he muttered under his breath. "Pussy," I mumbled. "I had hoped you would go outside, to warm up you need me," he said. "Whatever," I snarled, closing my eyes. I curled up, shivering. I barely slept the rest of the night, I kept shivering and the pain in my back didn't allow me to sleep either. Mirage was asleep again, I thought he would crawl closer and attempt to warm me up, but surprisingly enough, he didn't.
I slid out of bed, dressing up and left the room. I couldn't stay there, I couldn't see him and I had no idea why. My feelings are overwhelming and confusing. I went on a little morning trip into the still dark forest. The air is chilly and sent shivers down my spine.

((Dino's P.O.V))
I woke up and Cat was gone. Of course she was gone, why on earth did I think she would stay. I sighed while sliding out of bed and dressed up, attaching my leg holster around my left thigh and pushed my knife and gun in before grabbing my jacket off the office chair and went outside. After a quick scan, I found Cat. She was at the creek, or walking pass the creek to an unknown designation. I wondered if she was trying leave or just on a morning trip. I am really worried about her. Her mental health was going downhills and she refused to talk to me or in general.

"Mirage..."

I turned to look into the two bright blue eyes of my leader. "Prime..." I mumbled. "You seem worried," he noticed. "I am... it's Cat... she's pushing me away. she keeps calling me traitor and in the mean time she's close to another mental breakdown... I feel useless. I can not help her, I ruined it. Maybe I ruined her as well... maybe this is all my fault. I betrayed her... it's my fault," I sighed. Optimus laid his hand on my shoulder "It's not your fault, Mirage. Cat is complicated and no one really knows what happened to her, she doesn't want to talk about it. To no one..." he said. "Why not? It will help her, why can't she see that?" I asked, looking questionable at him.

"It's based on fear, to relive the horrible moments she experienced, grief for her lost once and she's denying it all happened... and she knows you are right," he said. "She cares more about you then you think, Mirage."
"How do you know that for sure? You have seen how she treats me... she rather gets kidnapped by Megatron then staying in the same room with me," I sulked. "The only reason she's here, is because the government forced her, not because she wanted it,"
"Don't you think she's clever enough to just disappear again? You saw it, she did it before... during her absence she was working on a case you were working on, she continued. She knew she was going to see you if she would continue her investigation. She had a choice to leave the U.S and maybe go to Europe or Azia... forget about all of this, leave you behind with the idea you killed her... she didn't,"

I gazed at Optimus "She's telling you the entire time she hates you, but she doesn't hate you. she adores you, she needs you... that's why she returned," Optimus said. "So you don't think she will leave after this case is closed and we caught the Decepticons trading weapons with the maffia?" I asked. "She will stay... don't worry about that. She don't know what love is... you are the closest one that can give it to her... it's a mix of feelings and all the horrible things that happened in her past," he stated. "she's scared..."

I looked at the dark woods in front of me, knowing Cat was out there. I wanted to help her, but all she needed to do was let me in...
