I groaned as I woke up. A stinging pain flew through my aching arm. I sighed and cuddled back in the pillow and blanket. I don't want to get up. I closed my eyes, snoozing and trying to forget about the painful things I have been through the last few weeks.
It was around 1 PM when Mirage came in. "Cat? Why aren't you at the office... we have work to do," he said as he closed the door and approached. I ignored him and felt him sit behind me on the edge of my bed. "Cat... hey..." he shook my arm a little. "Do it yourself..." I snapped. "Cat, come on..." he made me turn so I was looking at him. "How's your arm?" he asked, grabbing my wrist. "Why do you care?" I coldly asked. "Because I do..." he said in a matter of fact tone and got up. Again, I smelled the perfume on him. Isabell has been hanging around him the entire morning.
Dino returned a few minutes later and started to bandage my arm. As he was done, he lifted my chin so I was looking at him. "I need you, Cat..." he said quietly. 'no you don't you're on the way of dumping me' I grumbled mentally. I fear I am going to relive the pain of being dumped again and that by someone I actually love and opened up for. Someone I thought I could trust and wouldn't hurt me like everyone else did. It's probably my own fault though.
I never told anyone, but I wanted Starscream to kill me. Only a Cybertronian is able to kill me since I am a hybrid. Optimus showed up before he had the change to my disappointment. Dino stared at me for a moment, "Come... you need to get up," he said. I huffed and slid out of bed. "Yeah... sure," I grumbled sarcastically.
I dressed up and followed Mirage. He wanted me to eat something but I am not hungry at all and ignored his protests. I walked straight back to the office, sitting down and ignored his scowls. "Cat!" he stood in front of the desk. I slowly perked my head up, "What?! Isn't this what I must do!?" I snapped. "I wish you were clear with me for once!" he snarled.
"Yeah and I wish Starscream just killed me!" I shouted, jumping back on my feet. He clenched his teeth together. "The only reason I am here is because Optimus, but don't think I did an attempt to escape Starscream. That stupid mech talks to much instead of doing his job... killing!" I snapped angrily. "You can't say that, Cat!" Mirage snarled back. "I just did and I mean every single word of what I just said," I hissed.
"Didn't I tell you that death isn't the solution?" he asked, trying to stay calm. "You don't need me! The only reason you say you do is because you're using me!" I snapped. "That's not true! I need your help with every single case..." he stated. "Every single case?" I asked, crossing my arms. "Yes! We are partners..." he stated. "No, Mirage... Que is your partner, not me. I am done with it! All of this!" I hissed, marching over to the door. "What do you mean?"
"What do you mean?" he asked. "I stop working with you... and I refuse to work. I hate being a spy and I hate being your partner!" I snarled. "Ask Isabell..." I snapped before slamming the door closed and storming off.
"Stupid bitch!" I snarled. I just ruined the last thing I had with Mirage. He spent his spare time with Isabell and not with me anymore. The only way to be close to him is with working. I sighed sadly and decided to search for Que. As usual, I could fine him in his lab working on a new weapon. "Hi Que..." He looked down at me and laid the large gun down. "Cat..." he greeted a bit surprised and knelt down, holding up his servo for me to climb in and placed me on his work space. "Why does Mirage like Isabell so much? What does she have what I don't have?" I asked. He raised an optic ridge. "Why do you ask me?" he questioned. "Because you know him well... you know what she said the other day?" I asked. He shook his helm, "She said that he should consider dumping me and I get it... it's happening all my life but I had hoped that this time someone would actually care enough about me to not do that..."
"Mirage wouldn't do that, Cat..." he stated. I huffed and shook my head, "He didn't argue, he didn't snap or defended me. He just let them agree. I sucked in a breath before looking up to him. "I am stupid..." I muttered. "You're not stupid for loving someone, Cat..." he said. "Yeah, well I have accepted that Mirage doesn't love me back. It's fine... I'll get over it..." I said it mostly to myself to convince me it had been a stupid feeling and a stupid thought. "Cat..."
I looked up to him again, "don't give up your hope... Mirage is stressed lately and I don't think you should give up..." he stated. "But he does things with that slut he never does with me... isn't that a sign?" I asked. He shook his helmet, "Don't lose your hope... okay?" he asked. I nodded quietly and sat down. "So, what are you working on?" I asked to change the subject. "This is a new weapons Ironhide and I designed. It's a very powerful blast... I think Ironhide can test it next week," he said. "Cool..." I mumbled. He smiled a little, "You know... to come back to Mirage... there's a party next Friday... you should come," he said. I never really come to parties, I don't like it.
"I think Mirage would love it if you come," he added. "Really? You think that?" I asked. He nodded, "hmm, well... okay then..." I mumbled, looking down at the metal table while fiddling with my hands. "Wear a dress..." he suggested. "You think Mirage likes that?" I asked. He nodded, "You're beautiful... of course he's going to love it!" he stated. I nodded and started to feel a little bit of hope.
