Character: Mark Twain
Features: The guild"Come on (Y/n) why not." My friend whined in a high pitch tone from her chair as I tighten my grip on my pen trying not to snap it. "Absolutely not." I huff trying to continue with my work only for her to pipe up again. "Fitzgerald doesn't have to know and I'll be extra careful." The red head continues as I attempt to refocus on my work. Lucy simply huffs before listing off reasons she thinks it would be beneficial as I continue to become more frustrated. "Alright I'll make you a deal, if you can get Mitchell, Poe and Alcott to agree I'll consider it." Her face lights up like a kid on Christmas before sprinting towards the door yelling a quick thank you.
"That was a mean thing to do, they'll never agree." Mark says as he strolls rather leisurely into my office. "It was necessary and its fine, there's no way she'll get Poe or Alcott to agree." I reassure focusing on the papers in front of me. Mark simply sighs sitting on the leather couch that occupied the area in front of my desk. "Still though what are you going to do if they agree?" Mark questions fiddling with the hem of his shirt. "As unlikely as it is we'll cross that bridge when we get to it." He simply shrugs before strolling out of the room in a carefree manner. "I'm just saying Fitzgerald won't be pleased if he finds out." I shudder slightly at the thought of my boss angry before scribbling frantically on the paper.
After what felt like an eternity the door slammed open causing me to flinch noticeably knocking over a stack of papers in the process. "Hey (Y/n) they all agree so that means you have to let me have a party." Lucy grins oblivious to my annoyance and shock. "W-What how!?" I demand in shock scanning the paper with their written consent, true to her word the sheet was filled to the brim with signatures of members I requested and even a few extra. I sigh in defeat and start to plan a way to minimise the damage that would inevitably occur. "Well then Lucy I suppose if you're that committed to the idea then we can have a small party." She smiles brightly before rambling on about everything that will need to be planned as I can only imagine the horror of Francis's wrath when he sees his yacht destroyed. "Hey (Y//n) grab your bag we're going out!" Lucy exclaims chucking me my bag and dragging me towards central Yokohama.
Time skip
'Nope I take it back this was a horrible mistake!' I mentally scream as I am dragged to yet another shop that Mitchell simply had to visit. It was decided that the girls would shop for decorations for the party, somehow Mitchell had convinced Lucy that we needed new outfits too. "(Y/n) look at this dress you'd look fantastic in this." Mitchell gushes shoving another dress onto the ongoing pile building up in my arms. "Mitchell I'm sure one of these dresses will be fine lets just pick one." I beg pointing towards the changing rooms as she ponders it before conceding defeat. "Fine by you will need to try all of them on." I groan as I begin to haul the pile towards the changing rooms.
After what seemed like hours we eventually found one that met both mine and Mitchell's standards. "It looks amazing on you." Mitchell gushes pushing me back into the small cubicle. "Now change back to you're own clothes and we can go look for shoes." Mitchell chirps as I resist the urge to smash my head into a wall. Just as I am about to activate my ability Lucy pops her head from around the corner. "Hey guys Hawthorne says to get back to the guild." Lucy chirps as I smile making a mental note to thank him later.
On the way back to the ship Lucy and Mitchell continued to chat idly about their outfits and such while I became immersed in my thoughts. "(Y/n) are you listening!" a loud voice practically screams in my ear causing me to flinch visibly. "Lucy you really do need to work on your inside voice." Mitchell scolds before turning to me "Are you alright you nearly walked past the ship." Mitchell gestures towards the lavish boat that was serving as our temporary base. "Oh sorry I was just thinking about some stuff." I laugh but Mitchell was very obviously not convinced. "Well if you ever need to talk you can always come to us." She sighs before dropping it and strolling up the stairs towards the boat. Lucy seems to spring back into action rushing up the stairs waving at me "Bye (Y/n) see you at the party don't forget to get a date!" She screams drawing the attention of everyone around us as I flush a bright crimson. "W-wait what!?" I yell just registering her words only to see that she is already gone. I sigh heading up the stairs contemplating who to ask.
