A/n: Warning the reader is depressed and as such there will be some triggering content, everyone warned well then let's proceed. Also sorry if this bad, first time with a depressed reader also this might get rewritten at some point.

"Darling are you alright, you seem a bit pale?" The older male questions with concern written across his face, I look up my mask dropping momentarily before smiling at him. "Yeah I'm fine just a little tired, sorry to worry you." I smile as he scans me anxiously  before sighing and hugging me tightly. "Alright but if something is wrong please tell me." He says pulling me onto his lap nuzzling his head into the crook of my neck. "I would do anything for you, remember that." He says kissing me softly before releasing me. "Okay boss." I grin jokingly turning to leave nodding in acknowledgement to his guards as I passed by. I sigh pulling out my phone deciding to reread the mission brief I received from Mori earlier, the group was a circus and I was being sent to ensure that the mafia received its pay for the protection it provided.

Quickly punching in the number of my subordinate I walk down the hallway towards the elevator, after 2 rings its picked up hastily as some panting is audible from the other end. "Sorry Mam for the delay, what do you need?" She asks albeit a bit nervously. "Higuchi get Akutagawa and meet me by the entrance in 5 minutes, don't be late." I growl into the phone before hanging up sharply. 'You didn't have to be so harsh, no wonder you have no one here.' The voice giggles causing me to clutch my head in pain. "No, not now shut up all of you!" I yell slamming on the wall of the elevator panting slightly, suddenly a loud ding resonates alerting me that we had reached the ground floor.

Stepping out of the elevator I turn to see some of the other members standing to attention, not looking me in the eye. 'Even 'he' will get tired of you eventually, just like everyone else.' The voice taunts as the world around me blurs, I turn to glare fiercely at the apparition behind me. "No one wants your opinion, go before I make you." I hiss as the shadow disappears leaving a terrified grunt in its place. "M-Mam are you alright?" He asks shakily trying not to tremble in fear, I sigh smiling more calmly at the man in front of me. "I apologize I must have lost myself for a minute there." I laugh before glaring coldly at the member in front of me. "You will not tell the boss under any circumstance, if I find out you did I will make you pay personally." He nods shakily causing me to smile before turning away walking towards a quiet corner of the lobby.

Sitting on the plush chairs I sigh fiddling with my sleeve before a loud cough catches my attention, turning to see my subordinates I smirk finally happy to be out in the field again. "Higuchi you and Akutagawa will interview the members and try to find out why the ring leader has been slacking in the last payments." I order receiving a nod in response as the two leave heading towards the outskirts of Yokohama. Smiling I decide to take the scenic route walking through the town as inconspicuously as possible, turning down the main street I come across a small cafe. Deciding to let my subordinates to do the majority of the work I decided to go inside and relax for a bit.

Stepping inside the smell of fresh pastries hits me making me smile slightly as a lady dressed in a white shirt, black slacks and a pastel pink apron approached me with a smile on her face. "Hi welcome to the Poppy Cafe, how many of you will be dining with us today?" The waitress asks cheerfully as I smile in return. "Just one today, would it be possible to get a table near the windows?" I ask smiling as she nods leading me to a small white table with metal chairs and a soft pastel blue cushion. "I'll be back in a few minutes with your drinks so please feel free to browse the menu." The waitress says cheerfully leaving to the kitchen, scanning through the list I smile seeing a Black Forest Gateau deciding to order it.

As I continue to leaf through the menu I hear a slight laugh as the chair across from me scrapes slightly as somewhat sits across from me. "What a surprise it is to see you here." A familiar voice chirps happily drawing my attention, peering over the menu I see none other than the demon prodigy of the Port Mafia. "Oh Dazai, this is a surprise to see you." I smile setting the menu to one side smiling at the male in front of me. "I was in the area and figured I should check up on you." He grins before turning serious. "Are you doing okay with the nightmares and all." He asks as I smile trying to ease his worry. "I'm fine although they are becoming more frequent." I admit sipping my drink getting a groan in response. "It's been great catching up but I'm on a case right now." Dazai admits catching my attention as he pulls out a small Polaroid of a white haired male.. "There's a bounty for one of our new recruits." He explains as I scan the image before sighing pushing it back towards the man. "Sorry I can't help you." I sigh slumping back in my chair as he laughs holding up a small bottle with a sadistic glint in his eye. "When did you take that!" I shout gaining attention from some of the other customers. "That's not important, now are you sure that you can't help me." He asks with a smirk of victory as I glare heavily pulling out a small slip of paper sliding it over to him. "This is the code to the Mafia's information vault, how you get there is up to you." He smiles grabbing the paper happily before standing to leave. "W-wait I need those." I hiss as he smirks slipping them into the pocket of his trench coat. "Are you sure, I bet Mori wouldn't be all too pleased to find these." He smiles leaving the cafe, I glower at his retreating figure making a mental note to send the Black Lizard after him as revenge.
