"I don't care what you do but get the job done by the end of the month or else!" I flinch slightly hearing my boss yelling before the phone line cut off leaving me in silence. I quickly stand up walking towards the nightstand, lifting the fake bottom soundlessly I slide the device in as a click resonates from the front door.

"Hey I'm back." A familiar voice calls out as I turn to greet him. "Hey how was work?" I question kissing him on the cheek getting a slight chuckle from the male as he kicked off his shoes before placing them neatly on the shoe rack in the hallway. "It was fine, mostly just doing small errands." He laughs walking towards the kitchen leaving me to trail behind him. "So do you just want to order something?" He asks holding out a takeout menu. "Sure, Pizza okay with you?" I ask holding up the phone punching in the number. "Yeah, I'm going to take a shower let me know when its here." He says heading towards the bathroom leaving me alone with my thoughts.

I sit down on the couch thinking about the conversation with my boss. 'Will I really be able to do it?' I question clutching one of the cushions to my chest tightly letting out a sigh. 'No I have to, this was all an act.' I reassure myself picking up the remote and pressing the on button lightly. 'right?' I shake my head trying to rid myself of the doubt as I scrolled through various channels before pressing on the news. "Breaking news, there has been a break in at a warehouse at the port that police believe to be owned by the Port Mafia." The announcer says as the screen flashes to images showing the scene of the crime. "Last night an unknown group broke into this warehouse and murdered everyone inside." The camera zooms into the warehouse showing broken crates and windows hinting that a battle had take place. "Civilians are being warned to stay inside and avoid going out late at night." The anchor warns as I change channels already bored with the news. 'The others must be getting ready for the showdown.'

Suddenly the door bell rings, placing the cushion back onto the couch I shuffle towards the door glancing through the eye hole before opening it pulling out some cash. "Here's your Pizza, that will be $10.99." I nod taking the boxes from him and handing the necessary bills to him. "Thanks also I have news from the boss." The man mummers catching my attention, turning to check for Oda I nod turning towards my colleague. "He wants you to know that he will be enacting the first step of the plan in a few days time." He informs pressing a small slip of paper into my hand discretely. "He wants you to be one of the members for this mission, you will be briefed nearer the time." He says turning back down the stairs of the apartment complex silently, shutting the door softly I slip the paper into my phone case securely before taking the box into the kitchen.

"Hey food's here." I call softly getting a hum in response as I placed the box on the coffee table resuming my position on the couch. "Hey what do you feel like watching?" I ask as Oda sits down next to me. "I don't mind." He says opening up the box. I nod turning to some movie letting it drone on in the background. "So have you got any exciting assignments recently." I ask leaning against him slightly. "No nothing really just the usual stuff." He answers somewhat dismissively. "How are Dazai and Ango doing? I haven't seen either in a while." I question trying to pry further remembering my boss's words. "Dazai is the same as usual although he keeps recommending this book to me called a complete guide to suicide." Oda says turning to me. "We haven't heard from Ango in a while, Dazai says he's meant to be in Tokyo for business." Oda says as I nod making a mental note for my boss. "If you want to see them we could meet Dazai tomorrow." He offers as I nod enthusiastically getting a slight chuckle from the male. "If you're that excited I'll call him after dinner and set it up." He chuckles as I blush slightly hearing his laugh looking away.

Oda set up the meeting just as promised giving me some time with my phone, messaging my boss quickly with the information I shoved it back into the drawer as Oda came into the room. "He says he'd be happy to meet up tomorrow, we're going to check up on the kids while we're there." He says sitting down on the bed tiredly, sitting down beside him I wrap my arms tightly around his waist hugging him tightly. "Hey Oda, how did I end up meeting someone as amazing as you." I murmur getting a slight chuckle from him. "I could say the same about you." He says pulling my back so we're both lying down before hugging me tightly. "I'll always love you, no matter what." I feel a sharp pang in my chest hearing this burying my face into his chest we both drifted to sleep.

Next day

"Hey I'll see you later, meet me there later okay." Oda says shutting the door softly behind him leaving me alone in the apartment. Hearing a beep from the bedroom I open the door quickly rummaging through the drawer pulling out the small burner phone. Turning it on I quickly scan the message before sliding it in my pocket getting ready for the day, after completing my normal morning routine I exit the apartment shutting the door softly behind me. Putting my earphones in I walk down the stairs humming to myself before stepping into the busy streets of Yokohama.

Heading towards Suribachi city I hum to myself until I come to a dingy hut constructed from loose metal and cloth, turning to the guard at the gate I smile whispering to the name to him. Nodding he steps aside allowing my into the small hut, crouching on the ground surrounded by 6 members was Gide. "So what have you found out." He asks his lips curled into a smile. "One of his conspirators has managed to infiltrate Mimic." I announce holding out a small photo. "His name is Ango Sakaguchi." Gide hums at my information scanning the photo before handing it to one of his minions to dispose of. "We'll deal with him soon, that's why you've been called here today." Gide begins handing me a small file letting me flick through it. "We're planning on kidnapping him in 3 days time, you will be tasked with luring him towards the others." He says handing a small map to me. "You just need to bring him here and we'll do the rest." He said as I handed back the file to him. "I'll make sure it's done." I reply curtly turning to leave. "One more thing (Y/n)" I turn to look back at him seeing a serious look on his face. "Don't forget that 'he' will be the one to save us." I nod stiffly turning to leave.

After checking for any mafia members I turn to leave before hearing my phone ring out, I look at it quickly seeing it was Oda before answering. "Hey (Y/n) where are you, we said we'd meet 20 minutes ago?" Oda asked in a worried tone, internally scolding myself I rush towards the restaurant while talking to Oda. "Sorry I got a little caught up catching up with an old friend of mine." I lie flawlessly as I push through the crowds in the city. "No problem I'll see you in a few minutes then." He says hanging up the phone, cursing slightly I push faster seeing the building in the distance. Rushing through the door I sit down next to Oda panting slightly before laughing slightly. "Sorry I'm late Oda probably explained why." I apologise seeing the mafia executive sitting on the other side of him. "It's fine (Y/n) but I must ask you something of the upmost importance." The suicidal man announces dramatically. "Would you commit a double suicide with me." He asks with a gleam in his eyes. "Careful Dazai don't make Odasaku annoyed." The owner jests earning a dramatic sigh from Dazai. "Oh why must the fates be so cruel." He whines flopping back onto his stool. Laughing slightly I sip on my water before a loud thump is heard from upstairs. "You should probably go and see them (Y/n)." Oda mentions calmly eating his curry. "They were asking about you earlier." I nod turning to head upstairs.

Knocking loudly on the door I wait for an answer hearing giggling before the door opens. "Hey its (Y/n)." A child calls out, I look down to see Sakura hugging my waist tightly, I laugh slightly stroking her head affectionately. "Hey Sakura, are the others home?" I grin hearing a shout before being tackled to the ground. "(Y/n) we were were that Odasaku did something dumb and scared you off." Yu whines as I pant slightly winded by their weight on me. "S-sorry to worry you, would you mind getting off so I can breath." I ask feeling the weight on my chest lift as they get off, sitting up I hear a crash as the other kids crowd into the small hallway. "Yay (Y/n)'s here." Kousuke cheers as Shinji gives me a bone crushing hug. "Hey are you guys giving (Y/n) trouble?" Oda asks stepping into the crowded hallway. "Go away Odasaku don't steal all of (Y/n)'s attention!" Katsumi whines getting Oda's attention, pulling me up he hugs me tightly getting a groan from our audience. "Ew they're getting all mushy." Sakura says turning up her nose slightly causing me to laugh before the kids kicked us out.

"They didn't give you any trouble they?" Oda checks as we head back downstairs. "No it was good to see them again." I grin as we approach the restaurant, as we walked in Dazai was trying some curry before sticking out his tongue in disgust. "How can anyone eat this, its too hot." He complains getting a chuckle from the owner. "Odasaku has that every time he's here." The man laughs as I sit back on my chair ordering some coffee. I smile seeing the two chat as I sipped my coffee, remembering my mission I frown slightly before trying to enjoy the remainder of our time together. 'Might as well enjoy this, it might be my final job.' I smile trying to mask the pain I felt thinking about having to part with him. Shaking my head slightly I laugh at the thought deciding to focus on the present. "So what have you been up to lately Dazai?"

'How sweet those times were, why did I have to screw it all up?'
