Chapter 14: Enchanted Sapphire

Chapter 14.

Violets's POV

I stared wide eyed at the huge chunk of Greek grizzly bear in front of us.

"Ohhhh fudge" said Cleo.

I have an extreme fear of big animals that are bears. Monsters, no big deal depending on the breed. But bears scare me. When I lived in the castle 15000 years ago, a bear broke into the royal gardens and it swiped at me and I ended up breaking my arm. I was only 5!

I was frozen in fear and couldn't move.

Cleo backed up. "Nice grizzly bear...good grizzly bear...please don't maul us Mr grizzly bear..."

Ronan backed up as well but I couldn't move.

I heard Ronan yell my name but I was frozen with fear.

The last thing I remember before I blacked out was the bear swinging at me hitting my side and Ronan screaming my name.

I woke up to find a concerned looking Ronan and Cleo on either side of me.

"Thanks goodness she's waking up" exclaimed Ronan.

"Violet can you hear me"? yelled Cleo. 

I sat up. "Loud and clear"!

Ronan sighed in releif. "good news"

"what I asked".

"We ae really close to the ancient temple where the enchanted saphire is"! 

I stood up. "How do you know". 

Cleo pulled out a little black ball out of her back pack. 

"Greek compass". 

I nodded. We started hiking up a mountain. When Ronan tripped over something. 

Cleo and I hurried over to him. He brushed off his pants and picked up...

"a stone" asked Cleo. 

"Well, a fraction of a stone at least. It looks like it was cut in peices." I said running my fingers across the edges. 

"We should take it with us" said Ronan. "It could come in handy". 

I took the fragment of stone and put it in my back pack. "Hey look over there" I exclaimed, hoping over a boulder in the path. 

"What, what is it"? asked Ronan folowing me. 

I picked up another fragment of rock fom the dirt. "and theres one over here as well"! 

I handed Ronan the fragment I had just found and I handed Cleo the one I found next to it. 

We put the peices together. "It has the greek letter 'S' on it"!

"Oh look, the temple is close come on"! exclaimed Cleo. 

We ran up the mountain till we reached the stone steps of the Saphire Temple.

Cleo groaned loudly. "UGHHHH We just climbed up this stupid mountain now there are STAIRS"?!?!

Ronan and I just walked up the stiars. 

"Ugh tell me I'm almost there" groaned Cleo. 

Ronan and I looked down. The girl had walked up 4 steps. 

We rolled our eyes and walked up the steps. 

Soon, we got up to the top but the door was closed. there was this triangle shaped whole in the door.

We looked at eachother. "THE STONE FRAGMENTS"!

We pulled them out of our bags and put them together in the door.

The crumbly old door opened up. We walked inside.

Ronan put his hands in his shorts pockets. "Woah". 

Woah...Woah...woah echoed Ronan's voice. 

"Hey look theres the saphire" yelled Cleo. 

I looked at Ronan. 

Isn't it strange thta the Enchanted saphire is on a collumn in the middle of the empty room? Thought Ronan...I heard him. 

"Yeah...it is". 

"In the stories my mom read me as a child there were always..."

"BOOBY-TRAPS" yelled Roan and I at the same time. 

"Cleo don't touch the-" Just then, Cleo pulled the Enchanted saphire right of of it's Collumn. "-saphire" I groaned. 

Suddenly...the doors started closeing. "RUN" we yelled. 

Cleo, Ronan, and me ran but I fell.

"VIOLET" Ronan ran and helped me. Cleo made it outside but me and Ronan lagged behind.

The doors slamed shut leaving Cleo on the outside...and me & Ronan on the inside of the Saphire Temple.  

Okay everybody! Thats chapter 14! I am going to be updating less frequently because today was my FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!! 

I had a blast seing all of my friends again. 

And, I plan on having some ronlet (Ronan + Violet ship) in the next chapter as well.
