The streets of London weren't safe for us Assassin's anymore. More hunters appeared every day, and the Assassin numbers fell. So, as a precaution, all Assassin's were paired up, to prevent any more deaths.
And guess who got paired with the clumsiest Assassin ever? Me."So, where are we off to, Miss l-n?" Jacob asked in his flirtatious voice. I rolled my eyes, and scoffed.
"Don't act all proper, Jacob. I know you, and your devious intentions." I quickly replied, showing no emotion. A smirk appeared on his scarred face, and he raised an eyebrow.
"We'll see about that, y-n." Jacob muttered under his breath, as if accepting some sort of romantic challenge. I turned around to face him, and placed a warning finger on his chest.
"Don't try anything stupid, Jacob." I warned using my very feminine voice.
"Is that a challenge?!" Jacob shouted, stopping dead in his tracks. I mentally facepalmed at Jacobs ignorance, but kept walking, my (color) robes dancing in the wind with my long black tailcoats as its partner.
"Whatever floats your boat. Hurry, we most get going." And with that, we quickened our pace into a slight jog.
Soon enough down the street, there was a group of drunken men standing near a light post, laughing and flirting with the nearest woman. I have to say, this kind of scared me a little.
We were just about to pass the wasted group of men when there was a forceful tug of my robes. I swiveled around to see the drunken man that was supposed to be by the post grabbing at my clothes.
"Aye mate, be nice!" Jacob snapped, reaching out to grab his arm. I smacked Jacob's arm, and he ripped his arm back.
"I can do things myself, thank you very much." I retorted, and looked back at the drunken man.
"Heyyy therrree littttle ladddyy." The man slurred. I put on a fake smile and decided to toy with him, so I grabbed his wrist and tore it from my tailcoat.
"Well, it seems you're alone." I said in a flirty tone, and the man nodded. Behind me, I heard Jacob sigh and mutter something under his breath. "And I see that you like flirting with random women?" Again, the man nodded.
"That is not a very nice thing to do, mister." I shamed him and his smile faded. Then, I punched his face with all the strength I could possibly muster. The force knocked him to the concrete sidewalk, but whether the force or the punch caused his unconsciousness is unknown.
"HOLY SHITE, Y-N!!!"Jacob screeched and ran over to me, his boots slapping the street.
"How many times do I have to fucking tell you I can handle things myself?! Just because I'm a woman you think I'm incapable of fending for myself?! Well, you're wrong!!" I screamed in Jacobs face.
Out of the blue, Jacob grabbed my waist and pulled me into a kiss.
When we broke Jacob smirked. I personally resisted the urge to slap him, but hey, he was being really cute.
"Yeah, but now I know your full potential and can't underestimate you, girly." Jacob claimed, still smirking like an idiot.
"Can you let go of my hips now, Mr Frye?" I begged, and he obliged, releasing me.
And from that moment on, I was swooned.
