("Ladies, most of you have no idea how beautiful you are. Don't let mean words of an insecure soul blind you from the truth of your beauty. You are beautiful by design, just the way you are." -Dr Steve Maraboli)
Thank you." I whisper, trying to hold back my tears. "Hey, are you okay? Well, clearly you're not. I just don't know how to comfort people when they're upset." Kisten says handing me my books.
"No, that's fine." I assure her and spot a Harry Potter book in her arms. "You like Harry Potter?" I ask delighted. My tears are gone by now. She looks down to her book before looking back up at me. "Yes! How can you not love Harry Potter? It is just amazing!" Kisten gushes. I already know I have a Harry Potter buddy.
..
It turned out Kisten is new at College. She moved here from Sydney a month ago and she was waiting for MSC to accept her admission. We can relate so much to each other. We have similar interests in books, music and studies. I am looking forward to hang out with her more often.
"So where are you living?" I ask as she grabs a cup of coffee from the cafetarian. "I am living with my sister Katherine at the moment. She moved out to Melbourne two years back. I was missing her so much so I decided to move in with her." Kisten laughs at herself. It must be really good to have a sibling, right?
"What about you?" Kisten asks me, taking a sip of her coffee.
"I am living at the college dorms." I smirk. "Boy, I would be freaked out to live in there!" Kisten excalims quietly.
"Even more when you have a very bad companion as your room mate." I sigh.
"Hey, its okay. You can spend most of your time with me and just go back to that shitty place for the nights." She laughs. I nod. "I should introduce you to Louis when he comes back from his trip. He would love to meet you." I smile.
"I am kinda socially retarded. I really hope he doesn't think I am a creep."
"Don't worry, I was socially retarded until I met Louis."
"Well, I guess I am looking forward to meet him then." Kisten rises from the bench and walks towards the bin to throw her cup away.
"Tarisha." I turn around to see Niall standing behind me. He is wearing trackies instead of his usual tight jeans. He didn't do his hair this morning; it is sprawled across his forehead. Niall's eyes are bloodshot and as I look down to his fists, as usual it is bloodied and busted. I wonder where he is coming from.
"Hey, could you show me where the yoga class is-" Kisten's voice walks towards me but pauses. "Oops, sorry."
"Can you fuck off and leave us alone?" Niall spits peering at Kisten behind me. "Hey man, calm down," Kisten puts her hands up in the air in defence. "I said fuck off." Niall threatens her.
"Stop talking to her like that." I tell him in a straight voice.
"No, you're coming with me and that is absolutely final." Niall crosses his arms over his chest.
"Should I leave or something?" Kisten whispers in my ears. "The yoga classes are in building 5 I believe. I will see you later. I am sorry for his behaviour." I whisper back to Kisten who nods before quietly picking up her bag and leaving.
"What do you want now?" I ask Niall through gritted teeth.
Without telling me anything, he wraps his fingers around my wrist and drags me along with him. I try getting rid of his grip but as usual, he has more strength than me. He leads us towards the parking lot. He pushes me away from his grip and stands before me. I am guessing he brought me here so that he can shout as much as he wants without too many people hearing him.
