"Wait, calm down first. What's wrong Amber?" I urge for her to continue but I only hear her hiccups and sniffs from the other side of the phone. "Amber, you need to tell me what happened." I start panicking. Niall places his hand over mine and gives it a gentle squeeze.
"Zac.." She briefly speaks before bursting into tears again.
I turn on the speaker and keep Niall's phone between him and myself on the bed. "Yeah, what about Zac?"
"He is such an asshole." She cries again. I am getting worried now. What has he done that is making Amber cry so much?
"Amber your silence is killing me, please speak up."
"Shh, wait for her to speak." Niall whispers to me.
"He fixed our wedding day today." Amber's voice breaks again and I sigh in relief. "We are getting married next month and I don't know what to do. I haven't done any shopping but I am happier than ever." She sniffs. "Caitlin is not in town and I honestly want you by my side during this time. Will you come, please?" Amber's pleading voice makes me want to leave everything and go flying to Adelaide but of course life is not that easy. I look up at Niall who looks really pissed yet has a smirk playing on his lips. He shrugs and mouths your wish to me.
"Is it okay if I call you back? I need some time to decide because I just got a job and I have classes to attend-"
"The holidays are up in a couple of days. I want you to spend those two weeks helping me with this wedding thing!" She pleads.
"Alright, Alright-"
"It means you are coming? I knew you would. I love you Tarish! See you soon!" Before I could speak anymore, Amber hangs up and Niall bursts into laughter.
"It is not even funny you know?" I groan.
"Of course it is." He keeps on laughing. "Now you will have to attend a wedding and pretend to enjoy it." Niall places his hand over his stomach and keeps enjoying his moment.
Observing my silence, he stops reacting. "What's wrong? I thought you'll be happy about this." He shrugs. "Like not that I give a fuck about your friend or anything."
How did she get his contact number? As far as I remember, I didn't even tell Amber much about Niall. I think will let it slide for now.
"It's that she is too young. I mean I love to see them together but I feel like they're both taking this decision in hesitation. Marriage means a lot of responsibilities, which they're both unaware of. Marriage is not a joke but a pure bonding." I sigh.
Niall stares at me for a second before speaking up. "Fuck, your thoughts are deep. But are you going to go or not?"
"I have to. Didn't you hear her? She wants me to be by her side and I will kill to bring up a smile on her face. You know what 'friends' have given me until today. Amber is not one of them, I am sure." I shrug. I want to be there with her. I want to make sure she is fine and happy.
"But we are visiting the doctor first." Niall commands and starts to put on his shoes.

"I need the results of some blood tests and other tests first in order to say what is actually wrong with you because from the outside you look absolutely fine. Moreover you are not telling me about your troubles and helping me." The doctor tells me. Niall's fists are clenched at his sides. I think he said his name is Richard. He looks down at some papers and scribbles something on it. "You can get your tests done today and come back tomorrow to know the results." He hands the paper to me. "If you can, try not to bring this flaring human with you." Richard smirks.
