"We have to get even with those Socs!"

Rainn's P.O.V.
(May 14, 1953)

"You have my undivided attention."

Two started: "What happened tonight?"

"After I finished the race me, Dally, and Steve went as a double date to the Nightly-Double. We got there Dally didn't want to pay so we went to the other entrance while Steve and Evie stayed and payed. Dally said that he didn't want to have this date, told me to leave him alone so he could go and pick up some girls. No way was I about to stay with Steve and Evie in their date so I left. I walked around for a little while till I found the empty lot. Stayed there till this blue mustang came and 4 boys piled out. It was the same boys that beat up Pony and Johnny. When sat on my stomach throwing whiskey at me another held my arms and another held my legs. He took out his blade and started cutting up my clothes," I paused as one asked a question, "Wait you said there was 4 but you only named off 3."

"I know, the 4th guy drank something and stood back and watched. I started yelling for you guys, but by the time you guys got there, they were already leaving."

"What had them leave?" I looked down and played with my fingers. "Rainn?" "I, uh, I have this thing." "Thing?" I nodded, "Yeah I can do this thing that, uh, th-" right then Steve and Dally walked in. They looked around and their eyes found me, "Rainn where did you go?" I rolled my eyes, "Wouldn't you like to know." I got up getting a glass of water. The air in that room was thick, I could hardly breathe.

"What happened to you?" Dally asked walking in getting a beer from the ice box. "I left, these socs got to me and almost raped me. Did you find a girl to pick up?" He turned around, "What?" I nodded, "Did you find a girl to pick up?" "No what about the socs?" "A gang of them found me, cut up my clothes and got close to rapping me." He looked down, "We have to get even with those Socs!" He yelled. We walked to the living room, "That's the 6th time this week, we have to get even."

I sat on the couch in my seat. I sunk back trying not to be apart of the conversation. They all started going on about doing a rumble with them. "What can you do Rainn?" I looked up at Soda talking to me. "Nothing, I forgot what I was saying." "You sure?" I nodded, waving them off.

No one can know about that. The little things can piss me off making me go crazy. When my eyes glow, that's when you know, it's about to go down. Something horrible could happen, this one time I go so piss that I blacked out and when I came to my senses, everything that was around me was destroyed. My main power is fire, just fire. It burns, it kills, it's total badass too.

"Well I'm going to head off." Steve said walking out.
"Me too." Dally started, "Wait, where's my car?" He pointed out the window, I looked out seeing my now beat up car.
"Me three, Johnnycake you want to stay over tonight?" Two asked standing up, Johnny shrugged, "I'll come over if it gets bad. Night guys." I waved.
"For the first time in a long time, I don't have to work but I'm still tired, goodnight guys." Darry walked back to his room with us mumbling 'good nights'.
Pony walked back to their room but Soda stayed out here with me, "I know you remember what you were going to say, you just won't say it."
I looked Soda, "And how do you know that?"
He smiled, "I just do."
"How about I'll answer your question if you answer mine."
"What's your question?"
"What was the girl you were banging at work?"
He looked down, "Oh right, her name is Ashley. She's the older sister of Sandy. I thought if I did her Sandy would get mad and sad like I was. All it did was make everything worse."
"How did it get worse?"
"Made her run even farther, but I should have known that."
He looked down, playing with his fingers. When he looked up again, his eyes were watery.
"Now you answer my question?"
"I have powers."
He laughed, "Thanks for making me smile, but really tell me."
"This is why I didn't tell you."
"What do you mean?"
"No one would believe me, that's why I didn't tell you."
"Rainn what you're saying is stupid."
"Look me in my eye and tell me that."
He looked up and brought his eyes with mine, I thought and got into his brain. I held out my hand like I was holding a butterfly.
"Only you can see this. I've convinced your mind that there is something here but in reality there's nothing there."
He held out his hand and tired to catch it but it disappeared.
"I can do bigger things."
He looked up amazed, "Like what?"
I looked at the coffee table, there was a glass still there, I picked it up, then set it back down.
"What else can you do?"
I wiped my nose from the blood falling and held out my hands. My hands lit with fire.
"Is this why you were sweating so bad when we found you? Because you were trying to fight off those guys?"
I nodded, "Yeah."
"Is this all you can do?"
I nodded, "I can move bigger things, make you think bigger things, I can do it all." I paused, "The possibilities are endless, I just don't know all of it yet."
"So what happened today? Why couldn't you wake up?"
"I had no energy, I used some at the race and I used a lot fighting off them boys."
"You use them at races?"
"Yeah." I mumbled.
"Rainn if anyone finds out, your done."
"I know."
"If you know then why do you do it?"
"I was given this power, I sure as hell am using it."
"Rainn you could get killed."
"Soda, I know that."
"Then why do you do it."
"I already told you."
"Your answer isn't good enough."
"Whatever."
"I'm going to bed, goodnight."
"Goodnight."

I wasn't tired, if anything I couldn't sleep with the thought of Soda knowing. I played around with fire for a little while. Messing around with things I could do and things till I got tired enough to sleep.
