Destiny's pov

I came home from school a bit pissed because Alexis decided to cancel our annual first day of school lunch for some strange reason. But my sour mood was suddenly lightened as I stepped inside the kitchen, which was the first place I usually go to right after school. What greeted me at the stove had me staring for a long while, slightly amused and somewhat aroused.

Lexi had a fork in one hand, using it as a microphone as she swayed her waistline to the beat of "Worth It" by Fifth Harmony. She had her back turned to me so she had no idea I was watching her. I decided not to say anything because it was only on very rare occasions that I got to witness this. Don't call me a creep, please. My best friend has a body of a supermodel and I am just like any ordinary straight guy who finds her body type extremely attractive.

"Give it to me I'm worth it
Baby, I'm worth it
Uh huh, I'm worth it...." She sang as she went about cooking our dinner.

I took in a deep breath as I savoured the delicious scent of fried chicken. Alexis is totally forgiven for ditching me today. Even though I still don't know why she did it, I'm sure I'm going to find out soon enough. I stood where I was watching her for a while, not sure if I wanted to move. That would just distract her from doing all the enticing things she was unknowingly doing to me.

I decided after a while that I better find my room or something because if she ever suddenly turns around and find me staring at her ass, I'd probably spend the night in the hospital. And that was not gonna happen because I planned to watch TV with her tucked in my arms until we both fall asleep on the couch. We do that all the times.

As you may guess by now, Alexis and I stay in the same house while we are in University. She may have told you that we do everything together ever since we were kids and that's true. So it was only natural that our parents made us rent the same house as soon as they found out we are going to attend the same college. They probably shipped us together a long time ago and have already planned our wedding; which unfortunately isn't going to happen. It is just one of my many wild dreams and fantasies.

As I turned to head to my room, Alexis became aware of my presence and came to greet me like she usually does. A nice, warm hug that, to me ends way too fast and I would like to hold her a little longer but that would probably get me injured.

"DJ!" She said in her high pitched voice which only sounds like that whenever she had any sort of apology or request. "I'm so sorry for abandoning you today. It's just that something came up and...."

She trailed off because I hugged her again and pulled away quickly to smile at her. "It's okay, you're forgiven."

"I know that." She replied with a little attitude, rolling her beautiful brown eyes at me. "I just have something to tell you."

"And what's that?" I asked.

She bit down on her pink, full lips and looked away from me nervously, trying to avoid giving me eye contact. "I'm going out tonight."

And just like that, my mood became sour again. I sighed, "okay."

I walked away towards my room to avoid any more conversation with Lexi. I felt disappointed that I wouldn't be able to stay up with her tonight and I didn't want to make her feel guilty about it. But I guess my effort was in vain since I ended up hearing it in her voice when she called me by my full name.

"Destiny Johanson." She said as she walked to catch up with me. "I swear I'll make it up to you next time. And look, I cooked dinner."

"I said it's fine Alexis. Just go do what you had planned to do." I replied, starting to get annoyed, though I really didn't know why.

"It's just a party nearby." She said. Lexi probably felt like she owed me an explanation. "You can come if you want to. I didn't invite you because I know you hate that kinda stuff and I didn't want you to feel like you had to come just because I asked you to. And I'm so sorry, I swear this is the last time...."

I kind of stopped listening to her ramble on and on because she always does that whenever she finds herself in situations where she had to give an explanation. I instead started to search in my backpack for any form of sweets which I usually carry around specifically for these moments. I found a small Twinkie and pulled the wrapper, then patiently stuffed it inside her mouth while she tried to speak her mind.

She sighed after a second when she realized what I did. A soft smile grew on her face as she chewed and reached for my bag in search for more. I quickly raised it over my head before she caught it.

"No," I said, shaking my head in disapproval. "No more. And get something to eat before you go. Do not come home drunk, and if you don't have any company, call me. Okay? I don't want you walking home by yourself."

She nodded earnestly as she replied. "Yes, daddy."

She stepped past me to her bedroom before she saw my expression, and it's a lucky thing she did so. Lexi just called me Daddy. I am going to hell for my thoughts. I knew she didn't realize exactly what she did to me, but it sure felt great. And as her words play on repeat in my head, I got ready to spend the night on the couch alone, waiting for Lexi to come back home.
