Chapter 08

Alexis's pov

"You coming to the pool party tonight Lexi?" Christina asked me, as I worked silently on some math problems. We were in my usual empty classroom; I ended up taking her there when she curiously asked me where I stay between classes if I don't go home.

"No," I replied simply.

"Why the heck not, it'll be fun." She protested, hitting a nerve in me.

"Unless you want you and the rest of the party gores to swim in my blood, then sure I'd f''cking love to," I answered as simply as my first reply.

"Gosh no. Like gross!" Chris recoiled and frowned at me. "You could have just said so."

"I did." I gave her a look that said duh and rolled my eyes before going back to my books.

Chris just rolled her eyes at me then sighed disappointedly and went back to typing away on her phone. I swear sometimes I feel so sorry for that poor device. She presses the iPhone like every second of every day. If social media was like a real town, Chris would live right in the center of Facebook street, Instagram avenue, and Snapchat lane!

Not to mention Twitter would probably be only a block away and YouTube right next to it with Wattpad and email street somewhere on the outskirts of the town. I wonder sometimes if her fingers don't get tired, or if her phone never just shuts down on her every once in a while. It would be fun to watch her reaction to a day without her networking. She'd probably tear her hair out in madness.

I chuckled at my own thoughts as I tapped in numbers on my calculator. My own phone vibrated beside me on the table I was working on and I picked it up. I smiled at the screen as I saw a text from DJ, checking up on me.

Hey! Are you okay? 😄

Yeah, I'm good.
Why are you texting in class?

I'm great too, thanks for asking! 😐

So tell me, do you still have classes with that really sexy professor you had a crush on last year?

😱 Lexi! I did not have a crush on her. And, well I'm texting in her class right now.
