Alexis's pov

"Soooo what's his name?" Chris asked me as we sat idle in a gazebo near the science labs.

"Who?" I asked distractedly. I was busy texting DJ as I snacked on some chocolate chip cookies.

"Ugh!" Chris groaned in slight frustration, I could almost hear her roll her eyes at me. "That like really hot guy you like totally ditched me for last night."

I started to giggle a bit but it wasn't because of the guy or what Chris said. Let's just say there is a reason Destiny and are such great friends for so many years.

"Lexi!" Christina huffed when she realized I wasn't paying her any attention.

"What?" I laughed.

"I bet you don't know the guy." She replied, half glaring half grinning at me.

I feigned hurt as I clutched my chest, but what I really felt was a little guilt. "Of course I do. You think I'd sleep with some guy I don't even know."

She blinked a few times before answering, but she sounded unsure. "Nno?"

I pursed my lips and flipped my hair like a diva before I replied. "His name is Martin."

"That his first name or last name?"

"I honestly don't know."

We both started laughing like idiots before we went back to whatever we were doing. Chris went to do her usual live videos on either Instagram or Facebook, didn't know which one and I so didn't care. I just continued texting DJ and searched my bag for any more snacks because my cookies suddenly disappeared... The Digestive system is a tricky place.

I was vaguely aware of Christina when she started speaking but became a bit suspicious when she said my name.

"Yes! It's true guys, it's really her. I'm like friends with the Lexi_pooh!" She giggled a bit as she spoke and I shook my head and sighed. "If you guys don't believe me, take a look at her. Hey Lexi, say hi to everyone."

I turned around and found myself staring into her phone screen and my eyes widened at all the comments that kept popping up. Comments like "omfg!" And "holy shit it's really her!" And "like girl where tf have you been!"

"She's still online but using a brand new account and-" Chris started to explain but I cut her off in the rudest way possible. It felt absolutely disrespectful but definitely necessary.

"Get that f''cking camera out of my damn face!" I screamed, earning unpleasant looks from passersby but I was too pissed off to care.

The good thing was that Christina actually got the message. The bad thing was that I could see she was trying really hard not to express her embarrassed and disappointed feelings due to my reaction. I knew also that I had to apologise.

I sighed. "Oh no no. You know I didn't mean to be so harsh right?" I said, shifting closer to her so I could give her a hug.

She nodded a little.
"Is this thing still on?" I whispered to her as she tried to smile. Christina nodded again.

I sighed. "Guys, I didn't mean that. I'm not into the live videos anymore and I don't need to give an explanation. Chris here is my new found friend, and I'm really sorry for how I reacted."

I didn't check the comments, I really did not want my face back online. Not again. I began packing up all my stuff after DJ told me his class was done for the day.

"Hey," I said to Chris as I got up, "I'm gonna meet DJ now okay."

She smiled genuinely at me and opened her arms for a goodbye hug which I complied with. As we pulled away she said, "when am I going to finally see him?"

"Soon enough," I said smiling as I left the gazebo. I could have introduced the two from the first time Chris and I became friends, but I didn't. It wasn't because I'm afraid that they might probably turn into something more than just friends... Well, maybe I was a little scared. But it was mostly because DJ wasn't my only friend some years ago.

See, there were three of us. Me, Destiny and... Well, that one. But then the one became my only one, y' see? And things just got crazy. I don't want that to happen. I don't want to ever relive those times ever again.

I knew he was crazy before we got so close, but now, now he's just the start of my worst nightmares. I don't watch horror movies anymore, because, after all that, I stopped seeing the faces of the real actors and saw him instead.

The sound of fingers snapping in front my eyes pulled me out of whatever trance I was sucked in a while back. I blinked and found DJ staring back at me with concern.

"I'm okay." I quickly blurted out.

He shrugged his shoulders as he threw his hands over nine and continued walking towards the University gates. I pushed my hands inside my pockets, trying to remember if I purposely forgot my purse at home so that I don't have to spend any money on ice cream at the park today. I clenched my teeth in regret as I remembered I found it in my bag earlier when I was searching it for more sweets.

Just then, a familiar sexy guy jogged up to me, making me stop for a while. Naturally, DJ made a halt too, not really doing anything at first but just staring down the guy suspiciously. He does that all the times.

"Hi," I said smiling widely.

"Hi," he replied, his eyes on me felt like they were stripping me naked in front of the whole school. "How come you just left like that this morning, baby?"

That last part he spoke suddenly hit me and I recognized who he was. The guy from last night. And I was thinking that if he was any good, I would not be having so much trouble trying to remember his name.

"I I I'm sorry," I stammered, "I was sort of in a hurry. School and all." I quickly came up with an excuse, thinking, "hey, this is so much easier than lying to Destiny."

"But you like could have left a message or wake me or something." He argued.

I tried desperately to prevent myself from making a face at him as I replied, "I know, but you were so cute when you sleep, I just couldn't bring myself to do that." I mentally added "and about the note... What's your name again?"
