Chapter 4

Alexus' POV

Today Bella and I were going school shopping.

We basically sold all our clothes back in Australia.

I had like 4 pairs of shorts and about 5 t-shirts.

We wanted to start fresh.

"Bella, ya ready to go?!" I yelled walking out the door.

"Yeahhhhh!" She screamed back following me.

We got into my car and drove off to the nearby strip mall.

It contained a Hollister, American Eagle, Pac Sun, etc.

What felt like 10 years later we finished shopping.

From what I bought, it looked like I was going to be a whole new person.

Maybe I'll actually be 'popular' this year.

Or at let not be called a 'nerd' or 'geek'.

Nobody will know about is all the way in Australia.

We decided to get some dinner before heading back to the house.

My parents had texted me informing us on a neighborhood party that happens every summer across the street.

We had to show up apparently.

When we got home we ran to our rooms and unpacked our new clothes from the mall.

"Ladies!! Hurry up! The party starts in half an hour!!" Steve yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"We're changing!!!" Bella yelled back.

I popped out of my room with my hair loosely curled and in a floral high waisted skirt and white top to match.

Bella came out with a side fishtail braid and a pink sundress.

Her dark brown hair made her stand out.

Bella was gorgeous so I always was lost why she was never dating anyone...

We walked downstairs and my parents were already dressed and ready to go.

"Geez girls do take forever," my dad chuckled.

"Wait Steve, what's the neighbors name?!" Bella asked frantically.

Oh god if I didn't know I'd probably feel so awkward...

"Their last name is Mendes, I believe." He said.

"Let's go." My mom smiled.

We walked across the street knocking on the door.

It was about 3 p.m. by now.

The party started about half an hour ago.

I was distracted by an older lady and gentlemen greeting us.

"Hello! Hello! I'm Amy, and this is my husband, Peter!" The lady smiled at us.

"This is Bella and Alexus, I'm Steve and this is my wife, Mary!" My dad told them.

"Come in!" They said.

We all walked into the house and followed them into their huge backyard.

"If you girls would like you can head downstairs and meet my son and the rest of the neighbors!" Amy smiled.

"Okay! Thank you Amy!" Bella and I smiled.

We headed downstairs, being blasted with screaming and blaring music.

We were at the bottom of the steps when we were bombarded by stares.

After a really long awkward silence and staring Bella spoke up.

"Hi?" She said.

Finally everyone quit staring and a people started talking.

"So are you two the new neighbors?" Asked a boy I believe which was Amy's son.

"Uhm... Yeah." I said back shyly.

"Well I'm Shawn!" He smiled.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Alexus and this is Bella!" I smiled back.

"Come sit down!" He said grabbing Bella's hand and dragging her to the couch, I followed of course.

I'll admit Shawn was cute but ehh.

Soon all the rest of the guys that were downstairs joined our conversation.

"Well since you creeps all started to join our conversation at least introduce yourselves!" Shawn laughed.

A really blonde boy started first, "uhm, hey I'm Jack Johnson, I live down the road a little." He said shyly.

Then a super tall light brown haired boy said, "I'm Cameron, yeah, I live across the street 3 houses down."

Then went a shorter dirty blonde boy, "well, I'm Matthew! I live across the street and a house down!"

It went on and on.

Today I've met; Shawn, JJ, Cameron, Matthew, Sammy, Jack, and Aaron.

"So what state are you two?" Cameron asked after everyone introduced each other.

"Well, actually we are from Sydney, Australia..." I laughed.

"Whoa! Really?" Shawn asked surprised.

"Yeah?... Why?" Bella asked.

"Because you guys are really hot." I think jack smirked staring at me and Bella.

"Well I think we should probably get home now." I nudged Bella.

"I'll walk you guys to the door!" Offered Shawn.

"Oh okay. Thanks Shawn," I smiled and waved before walking out.

"See ya guys later!" He waved.
