Attarah danced along happily to the Christmas music blaring through the car speakers, singing on passionately and hitting every note perfectly. Caius frowned permanently from the drivers seat and the other two Kings in the back seat seemed slightly amused. Marcus indulged his time it watching his happy mate dance whilst Aro sat with a childish fantasy expression as he took in the lyrics.

"How much longer?" Caius groaned out and presuming he was talking about the car journey, Attarah answered innocently.

"I don't know  you're the driver." Caius looked at her incredulously and she beamed as he finally broke out in a chuckle. They were heading to select the perfect Christmas tree. They were choosing a tree for the ballroom where the Christmas festivities would take place but Attarah had no doubt that her female friends in the guard would collect more trees before Christmas. They were all incredibly excited at the prosperity of finally celebrating Christmas properly. The Volturi always did things big and this was there chance to fully celebrate Christmas.

"Here we are" Caius stated some time sooner and was happy to stop the car... and the music. "Thank goodness, that was causing me a headache"

Attarah giggled.

"No it wasn't. You're a vampire" he merely rolled his eyes as they all exited the car and entered the brisk wintery air. Marcus scuttled off to speak to the receptionist and Attarah remained standing with the other two, waiting. She took the moment to appreciate what they wore. They of course wore suits but had fancy coats on top and Caius had a red scarf. She stared at him and his eyes flickered to her though she did not waver.

Caius was the first to look away awkwardly and she burst out in giggles. "creepy" he winked and wrapped an arm around the top of her shoulders, pressing a kiss on her forehead as her hand reached up to meet his at her shoulder and they interlocked. The other hand wound around his waist and they followed Marcus who emerged and guided them through the reception to the back where they exited into an absolutely giant field of Christmas trees.

"I think this one's perfect" Aro stopped instantly beside a tree that was barely four feet tall. Attarah just stared at him.

"I really hope you're joking Aro love. We have a ballroom to fill" she giggled and he rolled his eyes but had a gentle smile on his face as they made their way all the way down the field, the tress getting gradually larger until Attarah finally stopped and scrutinised the trees around her. "hmmm" she breathed and they stared at her. All the trees were the same to them but she was taking it very seriously. Looking at the branches and the width, even the bristles.

"Come on love. It'll be next Christmas by the time you decide" Caius teased and she stuck her tongue out at him childishly before squeezing between two giant trees to the next row of luscious greens, leaving them laughing in her wake.

"I think that that's our tree" she stated as she looked up at it and they soon joined her. They couldn't help but agree, it was the perfect height that it wouldn't look to dwarfed in the high ceiling ballroom but wasn't too giant either.

"I'll speak to the reception again" Marcus piped up "and ask them to deliver it to the castle." he smiled and began to leave. It caused Attarah to frown slightly, he seemed slightly distant on that particular day and it worried her that she'd perhaps upset him but she vowed to make it up to him.

"On the way back, can we stop at the town and get some decorations?" she asked softly and wound her arms around Aros waist, looking up at him. The raven haired king chuckled down at her and cupped her cheeks with both hands.

"Whatever you want gorgeous" he whispered out and kisses her softly before they made there was away, a man had arrived with a clipboard, presumably to record something about he tree so they knew which one it was but she'd never got a real tree before so she didn't really know the process.

And they did exactly as promised. They entered a Christmas themed shop and soon had a trolley full of silver tinsel and baubles. Attarah had been very strict about a colour scheme. As a child, her tree had always been red and gold and she wanted a break from tradition. Then they entered the section with more sentimental baubles.

"I like this one" Marcus informed and picked up one that was a beautiful glass bell.

"It's beautiful" Attarah smiled and he returned it before taking one that was in a box and gently adding it to the cart.

"This one too" Aro informed as he picked up a glass musical note.

"This is probably my favourite" Caius gestured to a glass paintbrush and she smiled. She absolutely adored them all. There were quite a few glass ones to choose from and they would definitely match the silver tinsel and ribbons they'd already picked. Many more glass baubles were added, including a bird, the letter V, a tiny piano, a gingerbread man, the nutcracker, and the letter A along with others.

"I think this will do" Attarah smiled before suddenly stopping. "Wait, we need an angel" she gasped and they all followed her to the tree toppers. It didn't take them long to find one, chosen by Caius, it was a gorgeous angel dressed in silver, it looked quite life-like and was made of China with brown hair. It was the only brunette angel, the others were all blonde. He chose it because it had a similar appearance to his mate, though she did not notice this. He wondered if she'd find it weird if he changed the angels eyes from blue to green with some of his paints.

"Perfect" she grinned happily and the others chuckled.
