Attarah and Jane sat side by side in the car in the Volturi garage, having just arrived home from visiting the doctor, the human looked somehow even more sick after having her suspicions confirmed and Jane looked shocked.

"Jane, you cannot tell anybody.. please, I will tell them when I am ready." the brunette attempted as she turned to her friend, Jane looked at her with wide eyes, shocked to find that the future queen was not planning on telling them instantly.

"Attarah" the human was shocked to hear her full name from someone she considered to be a close friend. "They are my masters, I cannot keep this from them, it was already too much that I took you from the castle without informing them, they will be furious."

"Jane I will deal with it, just please" she tried but did not get an answer as she saw her mates enter the garage at the far corner, smiling but looking slightly annoyed. The human sighed and pulled her body from the car despite the fact that her limbs protested.

"Aw, Darling. Where have you been?" Marcus wondered as she approached them under the dim lighting, a nervous looking Jane by her side.

"Oh, you know, I was just so used to the fresh air of island, I needed to get away for a little while" she stated and smiled.

"Tell them" a different voice intercepted her lies and she froze as she looked over at the blonde guard.

"Jane-"

"Tell them Attarah or so help me God, I will"

"Jane"

"Now" Jane demanded and the human scoffed at the girl who was supposed to be one of her best friends. The human had hardly processed the information she had been given, she needed time before she told them and was bombarded with whatever reaction they had. She did not give the guard time to spill her secret as she left the garage, dodging Marcus' arm as she did so and storming through the castle, hearing the footsteps of her mates following. Thankfully, her husbands did not speak until they reached her bedroom. Walking toward her bed, Attarah looked down at it, not speaking or turning to face them.

"Darling" Aro began and took her hand, she sighed and breathed in deeply, tightening her eyes closed quickly. Without looking back, she let her mind open up to him. She got the worst possible reaction as he dropped her hand and released a slight gasp.

"You're pregnant?" there was only silence from all around and she turned around to face the three, tears watering her eyes, it was not supposed to be this way. She was supposed to be excited to come home to them with this news, not scared... devastated even. "Twins" Aro whispered and Attarah nodded softly.

The next reaction was what broke her heart, Caius stormed from the room, slamming her bedroom door as he did so without saying a word or even looking at her.

"Attarah" Marcus began, looking down to where her left hand was placed on her stomach, ring glistening. "Darling.. this will kill you. They will kill you" he insisted. "Your sister, she nearly.., Hell, she did die and that was only one. This is two! it has been a day Attarah and you already look like your dying." he demanded before raking a hand through his hair. "I" he started and stopped.

"Marcus please" she tired, grabbing for his hand but he pulled it away, looking deep into her eyes.

"I just love you too much to lose you" he whispered lowly but she caught it in the eerie silence that enveloped the room. He said no more, just following Caius' actions in a gentler way, running a hand over his face.

"I am going to call Carlisle" Aro stated and began to walk away.

"Aro" she whispered as he neared the door and he looked back up at her for a moment, seeing the hope in her eyes but he shot her a completely false smile and left also. That was the needle that broke the camels back and tears split down her cheeks, her back leaning against the bed post and she slid onto the floor, pulling her knees to her chest, one hand still on her torso as she cried, cheek pressed to her knee.

And just like that, her worst fears had been met, she lost them with one word. Pregnant. She was going to have a baby and by the looks of it at the moment... she was going to do it alone. Though she knew that if she did, she would die. Wiping her tears she dragged her body up and toward her purse, taken out the phone she had been given months ago but had never used.

Pressing on a name, she locked herself in the bathroom and slid down the wall beside the toilet.

"Atty?" a happy voice spoke through the phone and it instantly broke her, it was clear that Aro had not immediately done what he told her he was going to do.

"Bella" she hiccupped, the earlier sobs quickly taking over once more, tears washing down her cheeks in liquid sorrow.

"Atty? What's wrong? Are you okay?" her sister asked a stream of questions and Attarah laughed somewhat manically through the tears, she was supposed to be okay, this was all supposed to be okay.

"I am pregnant" she stated and heard her sisters gasp "Twins" she stated, she knew this was the bit that made it all worse. One would almost certainly kill you but two?

"Oh Atty" Bella sighed and she heard fait muttering over the line.

"Where are the kings? Can we speak to them?" a new voice wondered and she knew the phone was on speaker, this was Carlisle.

"They're gone" she sobbed out and heard words of confusion. "He was supposed to call you" she cracked out, body shaking as she chanted, "Where did he go?" she asked herself, feeling absolutely insane with sadness.
