Chapter 15
Ewan niya.
“Congratulations sa show mo. Nabalitaan ko kila Manager.”
“Thanks. I’ll go ahead, marami pa akong aasikasuhin.”

Nakasandal ito sa sasakyan looking so casual and handsome as before.
She’s more than that.
“Can we talk?”
“Addy, this is Bailey.” Sabi nito.
A little girl with strawberry curls in chocolate brown hair colour. Hanggang balikat iyon at bumabagay sa matambok at namumula nitong pisngi. Her eyes are so big at halos kakulay iyon ng buhok nito.
“Bailey?” Tanong niya at tumunghay dito.
“She’s four and she’s my daughter.”
“Your daughter?” Ulit niya at tumango ito. “Why would you lie to me about this?”
“I didn’t lie …”
“Omission of the truth is still a lie.”
God, I miss him.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about her. The truth is you’re the first woman I dated to know about her, plus I didn’t get this far with all of them, they we’re just hook ups.”
“Should I be grateful for that?”
“No, what I’m saying is I don’t really do this. Because Bailey and I, we’re going to be together forever. As for you and I, no offense but we’re not so sure about us. I mean I like you, I like you a lot and I honestly believe that you’re wonderful.”
Huminga ito ng malalim bago naagpatuloy.
“She’s home now from her vacation with my Dad. I didn’t stop you when you walked out on me because I think that’s for the best. I didn’t want you to feel the pressure or that you’re trapped with me because I have a child.”
“Do you think I won’t understand?” Tanong niya.
“I know you’ll understand the situation. But that’s not enough, especially for my little girl. All her life it’s just me and Dad and sooner or later she’ll need a woman in her life but I’ll do anything to stand as her father and as her mother. It’s not that I am looking for a mother for my kid, but I’m lying if I tell you that it doesn’t cross my mind. I thought about you and I and Bailey as a family. Shit, sorry I said that.”
