I wake up to the sound of our doorbell being rung incessantly and I groan in annoyance. I knew that the person on the other side of the door had to be Jason, dropping off Leah. I look over my shoulder at Molly who was still fast asleep and smile as I watch her lips parting slowly with every breath. She had fallen asleep while we were watching a movie last night and I didn't want to kick her so I let her sleep. There was really no sense in waking her up to retrieve the kiddo, I was more than capable and if Jason wanted to talk to Molly then I'd wake up her up.

I climb out of bed and walk towards the front door, pulling it open without a second thought but my eyes widen when my sister stares back at me. "Jen."

"Hi El" she replies, biting her lip nervously. "Can I come in?" she asks hopefully. I rub the back of my neck, releasing a deep sigh as I nod my head, moving out of the way and closing the door behind her.

"What are you doing here Jen?"

"Troy called me" she explains and I scoff. So much for staying away from her. I swore that I was literally going to kill my so-called best friend. "Eli you're blowing all of this out of proportion."

"Oh really? Explain to me how so" I demand angrily. "Mom and dad told you to stay away from him after what the two of you did-."

She laughs. "You mean hitting second?" she exclaims. "Oh Eli, you cannot be upset at him for feeling me up. We were young and stupid with hormones that we couldn't control and urges we didn't know what to do with. I haven't felt anything for him in years."

"How can you say that when you're still talking to him?" I demand angrily and she sighs, moving to take a seat on the couch.

"We're friends" she explains simply. "That's really all we ever were. I still talk to him because he's a sweet guy and he listens. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to plan a wedding" she laughs and I roll my eyes. I swore my family thought I was kidding about marrying Molly.

"Um hello sis. I am planning a wedding too" I remind her and she rolls her eyes.

"You're still pretending that whole charade?" she asks, leaning back into the couch. "Elliot when are you finally going to end things with that girl? She's no good for you."

Memories of last night flash before my eyes and I shake my head. Molly was the best thing that had ever happened to me and I was so beyond done trying to convince my family of that. "I love her Jen."

"And you'll love again. Maybe a girl from church" she suggests as footsteps pad down the hallway and Molly walks out into the living room, rubbing sleep from her eyes.

"Oh, I didn't know we had company" she murmurs, looking at my sister and dropping her hands to cross them over her chest. I know how it must look to my sister, seeing my girlfriend dressed in my t-shirt but I didn't really care.

"Babe this is my sister, Jen." Molly's eyes widen.

"Oh. Um hi" she stutters, biting into her bottom lip. "I-I really am sorry. I would've gotten dressed-."

"Oh don't dress up on my account" she replies, standing up. "It's great to see that my brother is sticking with his values" she adds snippily and Molly physically recoils at my sister's harsh words. This was what she had worried about yesterday. This is why she had wanted to stop.

"I should go change" she says softly, turning to walk away but I grab her wrist to stop her.

"No. This is our home and you shouldn't be made to feel like some slut by people that are supposed to becoming your family." I turn back to my sister and stare at her intently. "You need to go."
