"So, your twin is here because they got a role in a new Netflix show, and they wanted to surprise you? But they don't have a place to stay yet so they want to stay with you, and you haven't been able to get rid of your parents even though it's been a week?" Eva hummed in confirmation, making Bea shake her head as she wrapped her hands around a mug of hot chocolate. It was a Saturday night, and they had decided to change up their venue by going to a small café on the outskirts of Los Angeles. It was more because Eva had had a semi-stressful day and wanted to vent, which Bea was slightly too happy to oblige. Eva chalked it up to Bea also having a semi-stressful day, but she wasn't going to mention it unless Bea did.

"And Jaiden can't stay with your parents because...?" Bea trailed off, raising an eyebrow. Eva let out a cackle, shaking her head.

"My parents are some of the most homophobic, transphobic people I've ever met. The moment Jai came out, they disowned them. To see them succeed is going to kill my parents. The only reason they haven't disowned me is because I'm not out to them. They'll be so mad that they have two queer kids who are successful. It's a shame I don't care."

"Well, you're staying with Khalil, right? Jaiden can stay with me until you can kick your parents out," Bea offered, and Eva let out a relieved sigh before shaking her head.

"No, Bea, I absolutely refuse-"

"Let me be nice, Eva."

"We haven't even known each other for a month; I can't ask you for a favour like that."

"You're not asking. I'm demanding. There's a difference." Bea smiled playfully, and Eva was glad to see the bags under her eyes were lighter and held less weight. For the time being, Bea seemed to be less exhausted than she was the week before. These thoughts caused her to go quiet, and Bea took her silence as agreement to let Jaiden stay.

"So, I'm working on my new album," Bea mentioned nonchalantly, and Eva squealed, clapping her hands.

"Bea Miller three is coming? Yay!"

"I'm not done. Do you want to collab maybe?" Her words made Eva's eyes light up, and she nodded furiously.

"Of course I do! But are you sure? We haven't known each other that long-"

"Eva, stop worrying so much. You're talented, I want you to sing with me, it's not a matter of life and death. Breathe." Bea chuckled, and Eva slowly relaxed, nodding to Bea's words. She slumped in her seat slightly, giving a soft smile.

"Okay, okay. Thank you, Bea. You're wonderful."

"Says the actual wonderful person." Bea grinned, and Eva shook her head playfully.

"Oh, shush, you." The two grinned at each other for a moment, and then Eva tilted her head. "Do you want to meet Khalil? He wants to meet you. Me, you, him, and Jaiden could go do something tomorrow."

Bea lit up, giving an enthusiastic nod. "Yes, of course, I'd love that!"

The two began planning their next day, staying in the café until they were kicked out. When they were, they headed to Bea's, where Eva had told Jaiden to meet them. After she had to leave, Eva was amused to find a note from Jaiden attached to her car: Bea totally likes you, just saying. - xo, jai<3
