It was the day. Bea and Eva were on their way to Bea's mom's for Thanksgiving, and their plane was actually about to touch down. Jaiden and Alice would be coming the next day, but Bea and Eva wanted a cushion to make sure Bea's mom loved Eva without her family around. Bea swore up and down she would, but Eva insisted that she wanted to be judged on her own first.
When they touched down, they quickly went to retrieve their bags, Eva talking animatedly- her surefire sign of nervousness. She wanted Bea's family to love her. Sure, Eli already adored her, but she wanted to get Georgia and Bea's mom on her side too.
Bea's mom met them when they emerged from the airport, grinning as Bea catapulted into her arms. Eva stood back awkwardly, her bag settling on the ground as she set it down gently. When Bea finally parted from her mom, she turned toward Eva eagerly.
"Mom, this is Eva Wyatt, my girlfriend. E, this is my mom, Kimberly Miller," Bea introduced. Eva smiled hesitantly, giving an awkward wave. Kimberly smiled, pulling Eva into a hug.
"Uh, hi, Ms. Miller, nice to meet you," Eva said, hugging her back uncomfortably. She was a hugger, but she wanted to make a good first impression. She didn't want anyone to get the wrong impression about who she was, especially not Bea's literal mother.
"Call me Kim. It's so nice to finally meet you! Bea raves about you constantly, so do the kids." She pulled away, ushering them towards the car. "C'mon, they're waiting for you at home."
"I get to meet Georgia?" Eva asked excitedly, clinging to Bea's arm as she asked. She peered up at her girlfriend with wide eyes, and Bea grinned down at her.
"Yes, love, you do. She's really excited to meet you."
"I'm excited to meet her! I love Eli so much, I can only imagine that their twin is just as amazing."
Before they knew it, the two girls were talking excitedly to Kimberly about the Miller family and how happy Eva was to spend Thanksgiving with both their families. Kim was quick to assure Eva that her family was completely welcome and that the twins were equally excited to meet her own twin, especially Elliott. It wasn't often that they found twins who also had one nonbinary half, and for it to be Bea's girlfriend just made them ecstatic.
The moment they got to the house, they grabbed their bags, and Bea threw them into her room before knocking on Georgia's bedroom door.
"Eli, I already told you you can't borrow my eyeliner. Bea won't even notice," a voice called, and then, after a beat of silence, the door opened. Automatically, a smile graced her lips. "Bea!"
"Hey, Geo," Bea greeted warmly, hugging her sister warmly.
"Oh my gosh, Eva!" Georgia cried, and a second later, Elliott appeared from their room. The twins crushed the blonde in a hug, and she laughed, giving them as equal a hug as she could.
"Hi, guys. You're precious, and I love you." Eva grinned, and they spent the next few moments gushing over each other and their lives.
That was where they were meant to be. This was where Eva was meant to be.
