Hey everyone! While a bit of a shorter chapter, I found this compelling to write (it wasn't planned.) So, there is a pretty big plot point in the story (among the development of Levi's life.)
This and the next chapter with Emery will be one of the very few chapters I consider to be the rawest and unsettling concerning mental illness.
This chapter discusses suicide a lot in vague, but definitely still vivid detail. So, trigger warning.
Also, sorry it isn't that detailed or in depth, not my best writing, but I wrote quickly.
Dec 22/2018--Changed the name Keeyon to James (to match the James refered to in chapter 11)
Mar 8/2019--Change Jeremy's name to Alex ecause there were too many 'j's and well, you'll see)

"Dude," James shot me a strange look as we walked off the field. They were all heading to the back entrance, I however slowly diverged towards the front of the school.
Only a few feet from them, I looked back, trying to hide my fear of what was coming tonight.
"Where are you going?" another teammate of mine asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Uh," I began, knowing to tell them 'I'm going to a mental health group with the goody two shoes' would be social suicide for Emery and I. "I need to study, man. I can't fail my test tomorrow."
They continued to look at me quizzically, James responding: "that doesn't explain why you are heading the other way."
Fast on my feet, I replied: "I'm meeting with someone."
"Oh?" Danny smirked. "Is it a girl?"
Obviously frustrated, I rolled my eyes. "No. I mean yes, but she's tutoring me." I tried to play it casually, hoping they wouldn't ask who this mysterious person was.
Alex (A/N changed name from Jeremy to Alex because I had too many 'j' names), the running back shrugged. He was the most chill of my team, the least interested in the pathetically dramatic saga of high school. "Okay. Good luck studying."
He eyed James, gesturing them to leave. But James was persistent.
"You're totally gonna fuck whoever it is right?" he sounded pleased, almost like he respected me.
"Um," I felt uneasy. I wonder if he knew about Vivian, he probably did. James knows everything that goes on this school, except for what I'm hiding.
I talked to Vivian the following day, making her swear not to say anything. I, regrettably told her the kiss meant nothing. She seemed sad and asked mournfully why I wanted it a secret.
"It's not like your dating anyone else. And you're a good kisser. We're perfect together," she had said seductively, a hint of manipulation in her voice.
I briefly explained how my dad has a strict no-date policy during the football season. Of course, this was a lie, but she didn't question it.
"Well, whoever is tutoring you," he winked knowingly. "Better be hot and cool. Very few nerds are datable."
The football teamed laughed. They occasionally like pounding me with dating questions, as I, the captain, still remained single.
Of course, at the same time, a few preferred I stay single, but sleep around to stir the pot.
"No, no it's not like that," I was flustered, hating to be seen as the boy who sleeps around.
But then a new irrelevant thought infiltrating my unconscious mind.
