Vanitas groaned as he slowly started to open his eyes. He felt he was laying on something comfortable, and he felt something wrapped around his forehead. When he fully opened his eyes, he was laying on his side on a couch in a living room as he had a blanket over him and a small pillow under his head.

He tried to sit up, but his head was spinning so he laid back down. He continued to lay there, until he heard a voice speak.

"You're awake." Vanitas looked up, and he saw a girl standing over him as she had a glass of water in her hands. Vanitas took a moment to remember the girl's name, until it managed to pop into his head.

"S-Sienna...?" He questioned as he slowly sat up as she helped him. Vanitas put his hand on his head and he felt a bandage wrapped around his forehead.

"How are you feeling?" She asked as Vanitas put his feet on the floor, and sat against the couch.

"Dizzy.." He said as he pinched the bridges of his nose.

"Well, you had a really big bump on your head when me and Nox found you." She said as she sat down beside him. "Here, you were dehydrated too."

Vanitas looked at the glass of water, but he accepted it as he held it in his hands.

"Thanks.." He said as he took a sip of it.

"How did you end up like that? Unconscious in the woods?" She asked as Vanitas places the cup down on the coffee table in front of him.

"I.." Vanitas put his hand on his head as he closed his eyes. He struggled to remember, but he could remember the person who appeared in his memory.

"Kuro!" He exclaimed as he stood up, but a wave of dizziness overcame him as he was about to fall, but Sienna stood up and caught his arm as he held onto her for balance.

"Take it easy!" She said worriely. "You've been out for a while."

"Sorry.." He apologized. "Someone attacked me and my...friend before I was knocked out."

"He must've done a number on you. Because Nox was freaking out when he led me to you." She said. "You did say his name was Kuro, right?"

"Yeah.." Vanitas replied. When he looked outside a nearby window, he w as back in town. He looked back at Sienna. "Did you drag me all the way back here?"

"I managed." She smiled. "It was a long trip, but it was worth helping you."

"..." Vanitas stared down at the floor as a small smile formed on his face. "No one's ever done that for me."

"What?" She asked in shock.

"When I was with...other people. Whenever I would get knocked out, they would leave me until I woke up, and when I was hurt, they would only take me back, and lay me down on a bed. No bandages, no healing magic, nothing."

"That's terrible!" Sienna exclaimed. "You don't deserve that! You deserve to be treated with respect! You deserve to be treated as a friend!"

Vanitas' eyes widened a little as he looked at her.

"We're...friends?" He asked nervously, yet surprised.

"Of course!" Sienna smiled. "Nox was the one who ran up to you. Maybe it was destined for us to meet."

"Yeah.." Vanitas smiled in relief. All of a sudden, Nox was sitting in front of him as it was smiling and panting. Vanitas hesitated, but he carefully picked up the small puppy, and laid it in his lap.
