Chapter 9: By Your Side

Emileigh, Yami, Leon, and the rest of the Restoration Committee were all in the room as Sora was laying on the bed, unconscious with a blanket over him and a pillow underneath his head. Emileigh also introduced herself as Yami introduced her to Yuffie, Aerith, and Cid. After that, The Restoration Committee had more jobs to attend to, but Leon let Emileigh and Yami stay with Sora until he woke up.

Yami was also explaining what happened while she was in Radiant Garden as they both sat at on the floor with their legs crossed butterfly-style.

"So, you were here the whole time Yami?" Emileigh asked as she crossed her arms.

"Yeah, Lea was the one who brought me to Leon and the others so that they could help you find us?" Emileigh asked, trying to piece together exactly what happened.

"Uh-huh, the worlds have different time zones, Em." Yami said. "I was here for...a few days. As for Kurayami and Burn. I have no idea where those two are, or how long it's been.." Emileigh put her hand on Yami's shoulder.

"Well, at least you're still alive, Yami." Emileigh smiled. "Kura and Fire are strong fighters. They'll make it. I know they will!"

"Definitely." Yami agreed as she smiled. She looked down at Sora, and saw he looked normal, and so was breathing.

"What exactly happened to Sora anyway?" She asked.

"He just snapped when we got attacked by Heartless." Emileigh explained. "I have no idea what got into him."

"It's that power." Emileigh and Yami turned around and they saw Leon walking towards them.

"A power's starting to wake in his heart." He said. "I know about this, because Yen Sid's the one who told me."

"You know Yen Sid?!" Emileigh surprised as Yami looked confused by that name.

"I've known him for a long time." He said. "But that's not the point. My point is that the power in Sora's heart is awakening. And I know what power that is...or whose power it is."

"'Whose'?" The two sisters repeated in confusion. Before another question was to be asked, Leon noticed Sora's hand twitch as he started to move.

"He's coming around." He announced to everyone else. They came over to Sora as he groaned as he slowly opened his eyes.

"Em...?" He asked as she smiled in relief.

"Hey lazy bum." She smiled. "About time you wake up." She helped Sora sit up as he rubbed his head.

"What happened...?" He asked.

"Don't you remember? We got attacked by Heartless by the Dark Depths!" Emileigh explain, surprising that Sora didn't remember. "You then just snapped, and took them out just by using your own fists and feet!"

"I did that...?" He asked as he looked at his hands.

"By what Emileigh told me, you did." Sora looked at his surroundings, and saw he was in Merlin's place and he smiled seeing Leon, Aerith, Cid, and Yuffie behind Emileigh and Yami.

"Hey guys.." Sora waved as he put his feet on the floor beside the bed.

"Long time no see, Sora!" Yuffie greeted gleefully.

"You guys know each other?" Emileigh asked.

"We met a long time ago." Aerith smiled. "But it's been a long time since we've last seen you, Sora."

"And here you are nappin' on the job again." Cid remarked as Sora laughed nervously.

"My bad." He smiled as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "But still...why can't remember any of that?"
