Chapter 35: Determination

"H-How...? How am I technically Kingdom Hearts?!" Emileigh didn't know how to take this. She had both of her hands on her head as she had her eyes clenched shut. Everyone in the room was shocked to hear about this too, even Burn was shocked.

"We don't know, Emileigh." Vanitas said. "We don't know how or why it happened. That's something we can't answer."

Takeo then looked at Burn, who had his hands in his pockets.

"Did you know about this, Burn?" He asked.

"N-No.." He answered. "I didn't know at all. Honest."

"Not even Yami and I had this information either." Kurayami said and Yami nodded her head in agreence.

"So, that's why the Organization came by us a lot." Sora said. "Even when they're after Emileigh and Takeo...they needed Emileigh the most."

"And that's why Kuro attacked us when she ran off." Takeo said.

"..." Emileigh put both her hands on her fsce as she sighed.

"Em?" She peeked through her fingers, and saw Sora kneeled down in front of her.

"If you don't feel like doing this, you-" "I'm not going to let any of you do this, not without me." She interrupted as she stood up.

"Tak's right about one thing. This is definitely hard to take." She chuckled nervously as she rubbed the back of her neck. "But It looks like I just need to accept it. So, whatever Xehanort throws at me, I won't let him get away with what he wants. I won't let him take the Light away." She clenched her fist and held it in front of herself.

"The Light belongs to everyone!" She said determinedly and everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"I was waiting for your to figure it out." Everyone looked at the door, and they saw fate walk in as he closed the door behind him.

"Uncle Fate...y-you knew?" She asked. Fate looked away as he sighed.

"...Your mom was the one who told me." He said.

"You know my mom?!" She asked surprised.

"Yep. When I found you outside, she came to me in transparent. She told me everything I needed to know about you, and left me in your care." He said.

"She's...alive?" She asked in disbelief...until she smiled. "She's alive!" She quickly hugged Burn as he gasped in surprise.

"Mom's alive, Burn! I can't believe it!" She said. Burn didn't know what to say about the news, but he hugged her back.

"Yeah...but what about dad?" He asked Fate. Fate only shook his head, and Burn got the message.

"Right.." He muttered as Emileigh pulled away from him.

"At least, we know mom made it out okay!" She smiled. Burn couldn't help but smile back as he nodded his head in agreement.

"As much as you want to know more about your history, you're wasting time while Xehanort's getting his attack ready." Fate said.

"Are you...going to fight with us?" Emileigh asked him.

"Wish I could, but someone needs to watch over Ashira." He said. "It's in my family's blood. But to give you a hand, I can make a Corridor to take you over there."

"Thanks Fate." Burn said and he nodded his head. Fate flicked his finger, and a Corridor of Light appeared behind him.

"Let's go." Emileigh said determinedly as she walked towards it, but was stopped as Takeo grabbed her hand as she looked at him.

"...Once we go through, there's no turning back." He said. "This could be our last fight, or just the beginning. We'll either live in the light...or die in the darkness.

So, Emileigh...are you really ready to face Xehanort?" Emileigh looked back at the Corridor, and she had a determined look in her eyes. She was going to end this fight one way or another.

"Let's go pay the old man a visit."
