Chapter 31: Too Late

"And that's what happened.." As soon as Everyone woke up, they all met in the living room as Emileigh told the whole story about what happened last night, including Takeo's kidnapping.

"I'm so sorry.." She muttered as she closed her eyes, and bowed her head down in shame.

"I can't believe it." Sienna said as she was sitting on the couch as Nox was sitting in her lap. "This...Kuro. He's in the Organzation, isn't he?"

"...Yeah." Mayonaka answered. "But this is taking things too far."

"He sacrificed himself to save you?" Burn asked. Emileigh nodded her head as more tears fell from her eyes.

"We need to go after him now." Sora said as he was sitting beside Emileigh as he had his arm around her shoulder in comfort. "If Xehanort needs him and Emileigh, then we're all in trouble."

"What I do not understand is what this 'heritage' Xelhmigei mentioned." Kurayami said as she put her finger under her chin in wonder.

'I think I have one idea what it is...' Sekara thought nervously. "Well, whatever it is, it doesn't matter for now. We need to rescue Takeo before Xehanirt does something to him."

"But we don't even know where Kuro took him." Kairi said. Emileigh looked at the necklace Takeo gave her, and she put her hand on it. All of a sudden, she saw an image. Multiple buildings that looked like a city, The atmosphere was dark and gloomy...and a heart shaped moon that looked like it was torn open. She didn't know what that place was...but the name came to her head.

"The World That Never Was." She announced as everyone looked at her. "That's where they took him."

"How do you know?" Riku asked. Emileigh gasped a little as she held her hand on front of her mouth.

"I...don't know.." She said truthfully. "The place just...popped into my head."

"If that's really where they're keeping him, then we need to get prepa-" "No." Emileigh interrupted Fate as she stood up.

"I need to do this alone." She said determinedly.

"What?! You're crazy, Em!" Sora exclaimed worriedly. "That's the place between Light and Darkness! That was where the nobodies lived. It was there stronghold!"

"It's my fault Takeo got kidnapped." She said as she put her hand on her chest. "And trying to convince me to let all of you go with me is only wasting time."

"Em, please.." Sora practically begged, but Riku put his hand on his shoulder as he looked up at her.

"Her heart's decided, Sora." He said. "And it looks like she's not going to change her mind." He looked at Emileigh for a moment, before he sighed.

"Alright. Your choice, not ours." He said.

"Thank you." She smiled. "I promise, me and Takeo will come back alive! So, don't worry about a thing!"

"And the confidence returns.." Fate snickered as he shook his head. "Alright, Em. Here's your ticket out." He flicked his finger in front of him, and a Corridor of Light appeared in front of him. Emileigh stood in front of it for a moment, before taking a final glance at everyone.
