"Well, that was fun," I smiled, "But I'm so tired."
"Same," Vivian said, starting her car, "We better get home, you need to get to school tomorrow."
I groaned and slumped in my seat, "Why me?"
"Because your beloved Fraser assigned you this mission," Vivian said as we drove through the dark streets of Perth, "Speaking of Fraser, he called earlier, he said to call him tomorrow."
"What for?" I said, sitting up again.
"Probably just some technicalities, nothing too important," Vivian assured.
I nodded and closed my eyes, I really needed to work on the mission tomorrow. The quicker I got this done, the quicker I could head back and work on future projects.
"Hey," Vivian said, nudging my shoulder lightly, "We're home."
We walked to the large wooden doors of the mansion and walked into the house.
"Good night," I waved to Vivian tiredly and walked upstairs.
I walked into the room like a zombie and stripped out of my clothes. I groaned when I realised that I had worn my high tops, which I couldn't just kick off my feet. I hastily untied the laces and then proceeded to kick my shoes off. I pulled on a shirt and a pair of shorts. I walked to the bed and flung myself onto the mattress.
I take back what I said about the bed earlier, it was great. I sunk in the soft mattress and snuggled in the fluffy covers.
Before I knew it, I had drifted off to sleep.
....
I slammed my hand on the bedside table, in an attempt to silence the blaring sound coming from my phone.
"Shut up you stupid chunk of metal!" I sighed in exasperation.
"You know," Vivian said as she walked into the room, "If life were as simple as telling someone, or something, in this case, to shut up and them obliging, half of the world's problems wouldn't exist right now."
I groaned in response and slammed my hand against my phone once again, this time stopping the alarm.
"Get up," Vivian said, "You're running late."
"What's the time?" I said, blocking the light with my hand that poured through the windows as Vivian opened the curtains.
"Eight," She replied shortly, "You've got thirty minutes."
"Crap," I said, jumping out of bed, literally, and rushing to the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth, showered, and changed into my clothes within ten minutes, record time, and rushed downstairs to make breakfast. I stopped in my tracks as a bowl of cereal and a single piece of toast was already laid out for me to feast upon.
"Thanks, Viv!" I called out as I devoured my food.
"Hurry up!" Vivian said, rushing down the staircase with her car keys in her hand.
I chugged a glass of juice and rushed to the front door, grabbing my bag which I had strategically placed beside the door, in case of a situation like this.
We both got into the car and drove off school.
"Have a good day!" Vivian grinned as I got out of the car.
"Thanks," I grinned, "You too."
I closed the car door and Vivian drove off the school's parking lot.
The school was about to start any minute now, so I rushed towards my first class of the day, English. Since yesterday I had a test, I wasn't able to experience what English was actually like, apart from the fact that the texts that they read here are trash. And also that Riley was in my class.
