"Wait, what?" I burst, "I can't join!"
"Why not?" Aidan asked, a hint of judgement laced in his tone.
"Because... because I don't know how to fight," I said quickly.
"Expected," He shrugged, "We'll train you."
"Well, I don't know anything about the Riverwells."
"We'll tell you."
"Well, I don't want to die."
"We'll save you."
I sighed, not knowing what else to argue over, "I need to think about it."
"Well I would make it quick," He said, "The footage from the fight you witnessed isn't that hard to get, and if either side gets their hands on it, you can forget about having a chance of survival."
I frowned at this. I knew that it probably wasn't going to be possible for me to be part of the Shadows and the Riverwells at the same time, and even if I did, it wouldn't be long before the Riverwells caught onto something. They were sly, cunning, they knew how to manipulate people.
"I'll leave you to think about it," Aidan said, pulling me out of my thoughts, "I'm aware that we can't leave tonight, but I can't deprive you of sleep either, is there a guest room we could move to?"
"It's okay, really," I said, waving my hand at him dismissively, "It'll be too much work to move all three, I'll just sleep in a different room, you can sleep here."
I wasn't stupid. Vivian had made me move all of my equipment that could be traced back to the Shadows earlier today, they were all at Fraser's house, so my room was as special as a regular teenager's room is.
"I guess you're right," Aidan rubbed the back of his neck, "But there's no space on the bed."
"Oh," I said, suddenly noticing the fact that Zayn, Brent and Josh were sleeping like dead starfish, "We have two more rooms, down the corridor, you can have one and I'll have the other."
Aidan nodded, and we walked out of the room, closing the door behind us. I peeked a look over the railing to see how the party was going without me, and it seemed that most of the attendees were still present, conversing quietly amongst themselves.
I didn't care much for the party anyways, the only reason I had agreed to the idea was to get something out of the guys, and my plan had succeeded, so now I could do whatever the hell I wanted to with my life. Mostly.
"Here's the room," I said, pushing open the door to the first guest room.
Aidan eyed the place quietly. It wasn't much compared to the rest of the house, but it was a lot compared to what regular teenagers have. The bed was relatively large and was covering in over-priced-looking sheets. There was a white vanity next to the bed and a matching stool in front of it. The floor was the same all the rooms in the house, white marble. A small glass chandelier decorated the ceiling.
"Alright," Aidan said, "Thanks, good night."
I nodded and walked out of the room. Aidan closed the door as I walked into the other guest bedroom, and I closed mine a few seconds later. I pulled out my phone, which was thankfully in my pocket, and checked for any new notifications.
Vivian: I'm not going to call you, because the guys are there, but we may have messed up
Vivian: Just a little though...
Vivian: Text me as soon as you see this
Vivian: Why aren't you replying, it's urgent!
