"What to wear, what to wear?," I held up two outfits in front of me as I looked into the mirror. Neither of them were mine, I had chosen them from the range of clothes that were already in the wardrobe when we arrived.
School was the same today. I hung out with the guys at recess and lunch, I had HASS second period, but I didn't talk to Riley at all. That was the only class I had with Riley today. I also had my first Drama lesson today. I was in the same class as Josh, and Drama was definitely his thing. He effortlessly memorised and recited lines that other people were struggling to understand. I had Chinese today as well, but it wasn't as amusing as the last lesson, we had to write an essay, which I definitely did not do well in. Otherwise, today was just as good as the last two days at Lakewood High.
"Vivian!" I called, "Help me pick an outfit!"
I heard Vivian groan from downstairs, "Stop overthinking! He's going to kiss you regardless, I've watched enough K-Drama's to know that."
She eventually barged into my room and threw herself onto my bed.
"He didn't even tell me how I should dress," I sighed, "Which one do you like?"
Vivian's eyes widened, "Are you okay?"
"Huh?" I asked.
"You're holding two dresses, neither of which are black," Vivian said, confused.
"Well," I smiled, "I thought it might be nice to have a change today."
"You thought correct," Vivian grinned, "That one looks nice."
Vivian pointed to the dress that I was holding in my right hand. I put down the other dress that I was holding and looked at the dress that Vivian had chosen. It was a royal blue halter-neck frock. It was simple but looked angelic.
"I'll be back," I said, walking into my closet and closing the door.
I took off my clothes and slipped into the dress. It was comfortable, and it fit me perfectly. I looked into the mirror that was installed in the closet. The dress ended just above my knees at the front, and just below my knees at the back. I smoothed the front out and walked out of the closet.
"You look amazing," Vivian gasped, "Go and put on some shoes!"
"All of my shoes are either Converse, Vans and Adidas," I said, "None of which are suitable to wear to this... rendezvous."
I still didn't know what to call it. A date? A meeting? Just hanging out as friends?
Vivian groaned, and walked into my closet, "Look, they already have a heap of shoes for you here."
She opened a drawer, and it was filled with an array of shoes, ranging from flats to stilettos. I skimmed through the collection, and decided on wearing a pair of white round-toed wedge heels, with an ankle strap. I put them on and walked around in the closet for a bit, practising how to walk. It wasn't that hard for me, perhaps because I was wearing wedges and not stilettos.
"You look gorgeous," Vivian cooed, "Now hurry, Fraser will be here any moment."
I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. Vivian had braided my hair into two long dutch braids and applied light makeup onto my face. I knew nothing about makeup, but to me, Vivian was a make-up artist.
I heard a knock on the door and rushed to open it.
"Good ev- Woah," Fraser's eyes raked my body up and down and I blushed under his gaze, "You look... stunning."
"Thank you," I smiled, "You don't look too bad yourself."
Fraser was wearing a plain white tee under a casual black blazer. He wore black skinny jeans and matching black Vans to finish his outfit. This was the first time I had seen him wear semi-casual clothes and he looked amazing.
