"I found the Riverwells," I blurted.
"You found the river well?" She said, absentmindedly, stirring her spoon in her coffee mug, "There's a river around here?"
"No, Vivian," I sighed, as Vivian put her mug to her lips, looking up to me, "The Riverwells, the evil organisation, I found them, I know someone who's part of the Riverwells."
Vivian spat out her coffee, and unfortunately the target being my face, "What!?"
I wiped off the coffee dripping from my forehead, cringing at the fact that it was mixed with Vivian's spit, "That was just unnecessary."
"Gotta have the special effects," She winked, then slammed her cup onto the counter, some of the contents spilling over, "Off-topic, who is it?!"
"You won't believe this," I said excitedly, smiling maniacally at my best friend, "It's the guys."
The expression that covered Vivian's face showed that if she still had coffee in her mouth she would most definitely spit it out again, "No fudging way!"
I nodded, grinning.
"Wait, as in Aidan, Zayn, Josh and Brent?" She said, her face filled with excitement.
"Yes," I confirmed, a triumphant smile covering my face.
Vivian but her hand dramatically to her chest, as though the news was making her heart leap with excitement, "How did you find out?"
And so I told her everything. From me going to the fight, to crashing into Aidan and him recognising me. I obviously skipped the part where I used my Rank 10 privileges to hack into the system and find out the details. But that wasn't important anyway...
"Wow," Vivian grinned, "I don't feel too happy about you going to the fight, but I'm glad that you found out."
"I know," I smiled, "But I don't know what I should do now."
Vivian nodded in understanding, then raised her perfect brows, "I would tell Fraser."
I raised a questioning brow at my best friend, "What will that do?"
"Duh," Vivian rolled her eyes, "He'll let you grade for Rank 10 again!"
"Yeah," I said, looking down at my hands and furrowing my brows, "But what will he do to them?"
"Let's hope he doesn't kill them, they're too hot," She sighed, "But, best case scenario, we could recruit them to be part of the Shadows, their skills and knowledge about the Riverwells could be an advantage to us."
"That is, of course," She continued, "If they oblige."
"Which is unlikely," I muttered, quiet enough for Vivian not to hear.
"Do you want me to tell Fraser?" Vivian said, "Or do you want to tell him yourself?"
"I need to think about it," I replied honestly, "I'll see if I want to tell him at all."
"Alright," Vivian said understandingly, "Remember what you value Aaliyah, your parents or four guys that you've only known for a few months? Anyway, you should rest, I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Yeah," I agreed, getting off of the barstool, "Night."
Vivian nodded firmly and I turned around to head upstairs. I walked into my room and changed into black shorts and an oversized white shirt. I put my phone on my desk and moved to my bed, closing my eyes, and drifting off to a disturbed slumber.
Remember what you value, Aaliyah, your parents or four guys that you've only known for a few months?
