New Protector

*Ichiru's Pov*

I looked outside to see Dakota and Hanabusa talking, Dakota was in tears and he was hugging her, I didnt know what was going on, she may think they're nice beasts but shes just blind sided. I walked away from the window and went down stairs to get a drink, when I passed the door to go back up to my room thats when Zero, walked in with the other two behind him. "What is he doing here!" Zero yelled, Dakota ran in between us "Head master has all of us living together and its my resposiblity to make sure you guys get along while your under the same roof, and school, Zero you werent here last night, but you share a room with Aido now" she said, Zero glarred at me and I just rolled my eyes and walked upstairs to my room.

'Why does she call him Aido? His name is Hanabusa, But seeing her act all protective is actually cute, ugh Ichiru what are you thinking, she would never go for you, even if you are human, cause you were trained to kill vampires, and these beasts are like family to her...' I thought to myself then heard a knock on the door "Ichiru?" I heard Dakota's voice and jumped up to the door and let her in "oh hey Kota, what are you doing here shouldnt you be with Zero or Hanabusa?" I said leaning against the door frame.

She looked back at their door "I was with them but Zero is tired and even tho he should be in class hes skipping today since apparently hes sick, so Ai- Hanabusa went to bed to since he is in the day class, and I'm not tried so I saw your light was still on so I-" I put my hand on her shoulder and she looked up at me "Jeeze you sure do talk alot, if you wanted to come in and hang out till you get tired then come in, I don't need a whole story on why you're at my door" I laughed, and pulled her in.

Dakota looked around for a spot to sit i bet she kinda felt awkward after what happened 3 hours ago "you can sit on my bed you know" I said and she sat on the floor and I sat beside her "Dakota I know you told Head Master that you would be nice to me, or even my friend or whatever, but you really don't have to" I said that she flashed me a glare "No! I will be you're friend, I just have to protect my new family from you, but the second you kill them I wont be your friend, if you hurt them i will be mad at you and never forgive you but I would still be your friend! You need friends you can't just hang around Cody the whole time" she said moving in front of me "Plus its nice to be friends with twins, you two are just like me and kaylee" She smiled.

I sat there and looked at her, she was so cute "how?" she looked at me like I was stupid, I already knew how I just wanted to keep the conversation going "Well its a little different I guess, but we're human, our siblings became vampires, we both dont get along with our siblings, you're trying to kill your brother, and my sister is trying to kill me, the only difference, is Kaname protects me from her, and I guess Cody could help you except day class student cannot know about the night class students being vampires" She explained I think thats one thing I didn't know, I had no clue that the day class couldn't know.

I told Dakota about my past and she told me bits and pieces of her past that she could remember, she didnt remember anything before she met Kaname at 4 years old, "so if you were born into a hunter family, why didnt head master train you to be a hunter?"I asked, "well because it was his dream to have humans and vampires get along, he knew Kaname and saw how we acted which inspired his dream" she sighed "Well its a stupid dream they will never get along" I hissed "Thats something you and Zero have in common you know" she said in a voice hoping it would get through to me "How?" I looked over at her and she tried to rememeber "he told me 'I know what the Head master thinks, he thinks that there are good vampires, but I don't believe it not for a second' You both believe that vampires are beasts in human form, but to me I think there are nice vampires out there and they all go to this school, im not going to lie, I met some nasty ones, like your father and 3 vampire E's but thats it everyone I met are really nice" she said with a smile.

I looked away from her "Dakota, how stupid can you be, if zero is a vampire and has been since you guys were kids, what you were 5 or 6 when u met him, and he was a vampire then, if he still hates it now, and believe no vampire is a good vampire than he means it and you should listen to him, your just blind sided, by their charm" I hissed "Thats not true!" She said standing up "there are good vampires, trust me Ichiru, Im right about them being nice, and I was wrong about you being rude and uptight, when really your a nice guy who just needs to learn how to get along with others plus Zero only became a vampire one or two years ago to protect Aido..." She said and went to walk out of the room.

I ran up and grabbed her arm pulling her into a hug "Dakota Thank you, but you were right about me at first, I am rude and uptight, Im also going to protect you from those vampires" I said I looked up and saw Hanabusa glarring at me "You guys stayed up all night? Its 6am Dakota we have to get ready from school" He said pulling her out of my grip and pushing her in her room to get changed than walked down stairs. I will protect her, I swear by it.
