Chapter 10

"When can I go home?" She pouted.

"After 200 days" I randomly said.

"No really. I feel really unsafe sort of here...I don't know why"She said, discomfort in her voice.

"Why do you feel unsafe, baby?" I asked.

She didn't like it when I called her baby, but she's used to it now.

"I don't really know..I wanna get out of here James" She said, now getting restless.

"Babe, babe calm down.Calm.." I whispered as I stroked her cheeks.

"But-"

"Sshh.." I said.

I got up, and asked her to move a bit. I got into bed with her, put my arm around her waist and she rested her head against my chest.

"You're like my nice big brother" She said.

My heart sunk. I know I like her, but it's obvious she doesn't feel the same way since she's making me her brother. I can't possibly be her brother while I like her...maybe I'm just thinking I like her. maybe I don't. I'm so confused ...Maybe I should let this be and not ruin it.

"Hmm" I hummed, not knowing what to say.

I looked down at her, only to see her eyes shut and her lips in an upward curve.

She's smiling ...

She's Smiling!!

She's never smiled properly before, She's always faked smiled!

I can't believe this, is she smiling,  for the first time, because of me?

Oh my God ...

I quickly kissed her cheek and let it linger a bit.

She woke up, and realized how close we Were. 

She didn't move, she was frozen.

I pulled away, making our lips brush against each others lightly.

I felt sparks, fireworks, everything. Just everything.

We were frozen in time, when I realized what I was doing.

She called me her brother!

"I-Im sorry.." I said and pulled away, and Was about to get up when she said

"No! stay I can't sleep alone I feel unsafe"

"you feel safe with me..?"

"Yeah..."

I quickly got in again and Hugged her tight.

I'll never let her go.

After a while, I woke up, realizing I had slept next to her. I looked down, and she was sleeping still. I wonder when we can leave ...

"Mm...James?" She whispered.

"Yeah baby?" I asked.

"When can we leave?" She yawned.

"Ill have to ask the doctor.  Would you wait here for a minute?" I asked .

She pouted and said " Okay"

I hopped off and went in search for the doc.

I found him leaning against the counter with a pad in his hand.
