Chapter Twenty Two

10 years later

Katniss POV
Peeta, Charlie, Willow and I have been doing great, and the bakery is doing excellent Madge has been an amazing friend, and godmother to both Charlie
& Willow . Madge spoils as Peeta and I knew she'd have an instant bond with Charlie & Willow, happy to have her as well as our employees, become apart of our family. Everything's going great.

2 weeks later
Peeta POV
Katniss and I had dropped off Charlie & Willow at school before going to the bakery, & a surprise visit from, Johanna she said she has some very unsettling news to tell us . Both Katniss and I are waiting for her, just to say something anything. She takes a deep, breath and lets it go and says, it is about Snow's granddaughter. Ok both Katniss & I said.

Johanna says Snow's granddaughter has decided to take her, rightful place as the President of Panem. We are surprised because, Mela is only 24 years old.She was the same age Prim was when she's killed in the bombing, in the capital over 10 years ago. Prim'd be 24 years old if she survived, even though Mela 24 she's not heir, and fit to be the President of Panem Katniss & I both say together.

She is now Johanna said, there was a vote amongst the officials, who are still loyal to Cornelius Snow, they have also refused to give everyone, in Panem the right to vote for who deserves the title.

The other reason I came all the way from district 7 was to, tell you both in person Johanna stopped, to take a deep breath to prepare herself, for what she's going to say. Johanna looks at Katniss & I with tears falling down, her face & says that every arena that, everyone thought had been completely destroyed, are still there. The reapings are going to begin again, the game makers had all of their programmers who created, the games write a computer program, to convince everyone the arenas, were completely destroyed.

Johanna says something that takes both Katniss and I by surprise. She and Gale are engaged. After Gale left the military which was exactly 8 years ago last year he ended up staying in district 7. They'd an on & off again relationship due to his feelings for my beautiful wife Katniss.

They've children together they've a son and a daughter who're also 11 years old. We've both decided to move back to 12 in Victors Village if it's ok with both of You Johanna says. Of course it is we would love to have you and your kids live in Victors Village our kids can play together and become friends as well as their parents both you and Gale we can begin building a friendship between us

Johanna is smiling then Gale comes to stand next to his fiancée and mother of his children Johanna & holding her hand
We repeat everything that Johanna told us to Gale both Peeta and Gale put our last conversation years ago in the past we are all happy and laughing of the funny memories one being when she stripped out of her costume her stylist made her wear in the elevator after the tribute parade before The Quarter Quell
Johanna's blushing as I tell Gale she had seductively winked at both Peeta, and Haymitch then of mine & their reaction

We agree to talk about the situation again with Haymitch when we're sure that he's sober to talk to him about it our kids run to us and saying they're now friends & on the first day of 5th grade all of us smile go go our separate ways happy we're friends & our kids too

Sorry for the long wait I had extreme writers block not sure what to write to making me not want to write anymore and affecting my depression I'm getting better I will update as often as I can
