Today there is a half day at school so we both have a free class at the end of the day, we are going to talk to each other for the first few minutes then we are going to talk to our History teacher, Miss Pamela.
"Do you think she will know anything about America?" I ask Ash quietly.
"I don't know, I hope so."
"What if she doesn't and she tells the government what we know?"
"I guess we run and hide in Canada, the police in the Society have no power there." He says.
"I hope we don't have to do that, Canada is too cold for my taste."
"Would you rather go to prison?"
"No, I will still go to Canada just I'm not too fond of it.
We are walking to her class room and hope that it is empty.
To our luck nobody but Miss Pamela is in the room.
"Can we ask you something, Miss Pamela?" Ash asks.
"Is it History related?" She asks.
"Of course." I say then close the door.
"We were wondering if you knew anything about. . . America." Ash asks while whispering America.
"Follow me." She whispers then leads us to a closed off room with not cameras. "What do you need to know?"
"Any thing you know." I say sounding desperate to know more.
"I don't know much, all I know is that the Society should not exist. We should have more freedom like we did as Americans'." She says.
"Is that why there was so much crime? Too much freedom?" Ash asks.
"No, but that's what the government wants everyone to believe so they won't go against them." She says. "by taking away peoples' opportunity of choice they think it teaches to only trust the 'good' choices the Society makes for you."
"Is that all you know?" He asks.
"Yes, I'm sorry I wish I could help more."
"That's okay, it's a good start." I say then we walk out of the room and finish our day.

When the day is over Ash and I decide to go eat dinner together and see a movie because we don't get to do much stuff together that is fun anymore.
We are going to see a movie called Panic inspired by an old book.
In my opinion the book was really good so I hope the movie is just as good.
We walk to the movie theater that is about a thirty minute walk from the school and talk.
"I have a feeling something bad is going to happen because of what we know now, I felt a lot safer not knowing." I say feeling worried and anxious.
"Same, but we can't erase our memories of what we learned in the past few days." He says softly.
"I know, but I wish I never opened that textbook, I wish I never knew the answer, I wish my great grandfather was never a president, I wish America never had a high crime rate and I wish the Society never existed." I say with tears in my eyes.
Ash pulls me over into an alley and looks around, "What are you doing?" I ask.
"We cannot change everything back to normal, but we can make everything better." He says.
"What are you doing?" I ask again.
"I don't want to wait two more years to do this." He says then does something I would have never expected him to do--he kisses me.
