"Are you guys ready?" Iris asks after repeating our plan for the fifth time.
"Ready." Ash and I mumble.
I walk into the bathroom and scream as loud as I can and Alex runs over to the cell door, "What's going on here?" He roars.
"There is something wrong with the shower." I say frantically.
"What's wrong with it?" He asks.
"I-I don't know that's why I screamed." I say pretending to be worried.
"Okay, let me check it out." He says and walks into our cell then the bathroom.
"There is nothing wro-" He starts but gets cut of by Iris slamming his head against the wall--hard.
"Grab his gun." Ash says frantically.
"I know, I am." Iris replies frustrated.
"Hurry up." I whisper.
"Got it." She says after getting the gun off of Alex.
We follow her out the cell door and shoot the two guards we see first them Ash and I grab their guns.
My heart is pounding with anticipation and anxiety, I want to get out of this place unharmed, but I know that probably won't happen.
I aim and shoot at the next guard I see and they surprisingly collapse to the ground.
Time feels like it is going in slow motion. Every bullet that flies past me seems to give me all the time in the world to dodge it.
My adrenaline is keeping me going, I want to stop so badly.
I feel like my heart is beating one thousand times a second and could explode at any moment.
All I hear is gun shots and people groaning in agony as the collapse to the ground and fall into unending darkness.
I feel terribly guilty for shooting so many innocent guards that are doing their jobs.
But what if they aren't innocent? Asks a small voice at the back of my head and I shake my head.
Nobody that works with the law nowadays are a bunch if evil bastards. I think.
My body feels so weak and brittle in pain but I force my self to keep running.
Everything around me goes silent and Iris drags Ash and I into a closet and locking it from the inside with a key.
"Now listen up, we are going to camp out in here for an hour then start our way out again okay?" She says then all of a sudden the power goes out.
I start to tremble and say with an unsteady voice, "Ash come here."
"Okay." He says they finds his way over to me and wraps his arm around my shoulder. "We will be okay."
"I know, but it's so dark." I say barely able to talk.
"It's okay, I am here and Iris is here, okay?" He says soothingly and I nod, but then realize its dark out and I say okay with a raspy voice.
"You're scared of the dark?" Iris asks slightly amused.
"I'm terrified, I don't mind it where I can somewhat see around me but when it's this dark I can't stand it." I say while still shaking.
"We are okay, this closet only opens with this one of a kind key from the inside." She says trying to lighten the mood.
"Okay." I manage to say. "Maybe they want us to leave the closet thinking that it's okay to leave because it's dark. But, really it would make stay back because of me."
"It's okay, we aren't going to leave without you. We weren't going it leave anyways." Ash says in a comforting tone.
"We can try to leave but I think that's what they want us to do." I say.
"We are going to stay here until the lights are back on, I promise." Iris says. "And you look exhausted, so take a nap, we will wake you up when the power comes back on."
I sigh and get as comfortable as I can i small closet while resting my head on Ash's lap then fall asleep nearly right when I laid down.
