"W-What t-the hell." I stutter in shock.

"That's not a nice way to speak to your great grandfather." He chastises me.

"I thought you were dead." I say backing up and grabbing Ash's hand.

"I'm only one hundred thirteen years old!" He exclaims as if we were meant to know already.

"That's pretty old." I say with wide eyes and my body trembling.

"According to the Records I have at least five years left. I have been waiting for many years." He says while getting up and caressing my face, but I cringe away.

"How are you still alive?" I ask.

"I have been taking medication." He says mundanely.

"What do you want?" Ash asks.

"I want my great granddaughter to listen to me." Grandfather says.

"Whatever you have to say to her can be said to all three of us."

"Fine, well you are all in for a big surprise."

"I don't care just tell us." I say, still shaking.

"Well, let's just get to the point. The whole Society was a family experiment." He says.

"A what? An experiment? What kind of sick joke is it?" I say feeling weak.

"Let me explain, only the guards around me knows what I have planned so I could explain to you, in safety." He says.

"Just explain! I don't care about the guards you have! I wan't to know the truth!" I screech.

"Patience, my dear child. I will begin to explain now." He says. "When we finalized the law for the Society only a few people that were young knew about my experiment.

People said as a kid I always was rebellious, my mother, grandmother, and grandfather were also.
I was beginning to believe that rebelliousness was a family trait.
So I put together a government for the countries own good and for my family's, I wanted to see how many generations I would have to wait for a relative like you.

There has been attempt's, but nobody has been able to escape the police and have the title as a refugee for so long.
When I saw you and you're friends on the news, I knew you were going to continue the family trait of rebelliousness.

The Society was all a lie, when you came I was planning on changing the Society back to America--and have you help."

"You changed the beautiful country we had because of an experiment of yours? That's it?" I ask furiously.

"I also changed it for America's own good, I believe that the Society whipped the country back into shape." He says proudly.

"Seriously? Why would I help you? We are the most wanted in the country right now and your lie is the reason." I say furiously.

"You would help us because we have food, shelter, showers, and air conditioned rooms." He says.

"Fine, we will go." Ash and Iris say at the same time.

"Very well, follow us, we will be there within the hour."

"Is this a helicopter?" I ask while getting into the vehicle in front of me.

"Yes." One of the guards say.

"Where is my grandfather?" I ask.

"He is in another helicopter." He says and I nod.

"What are we going to do?" I ask Ash and Iris. "I am so hungry I can see my ribs."

I pull up my shirt and show them my stomach and it looks so hollow people would assume I haven't eaten in weeks.

"We will be there soon, then you can eat all you need." Ash says.

"I can't wait to get there, we will able to sleep in real beds, and eat real food." Iris says happily.

"I have never seen you so happy." I comment while laughing weakly.

"How can you not be happy? We are finally having shelter!" She exclaims.
"I know!" I say just as happily. "I'm gonna close my eyes."

After I say that I lay down resting my head on Ash's lap.

I close my eyes and fall asleep thinking about his beautiful deep chocolate brown eyes and amazing brown hair.
