Ash and I are walking through the woods on what I assume is just a walk, because we are dressed quite nicely and we aren't running.

I keep asking him where are we going but he keeps saying its a surprise, he knows I don't like surprises but I go along with it because I don't want to start an argument.

We haven't been on a proper date in so long, it is strange to be having a date in the middle of the woods, but maybe he wanted us to be alone for our date.

Ash seems to be think about something, he looks like he is putting together a plan of some sort.

I want to ask him what he is thinking about but I will get the same answer every time saying he is okay, or he is just thinking about possible last second changes.

He never mentioned what he needed last second changes on, even though its most likely our date, he is starting to worry me.

"We are almost here." He says with a sinister smile.

"Okay." I say smiling trying to hide my fear.

I love Ash and he loves me so I don't know what I am so worried about.

"Okay, now you need this blindfold." He says taking out a blindfold and placing it over my eyes with his creepy sinister smile still on his face.

"What for?" I ask him while holding his hand and trusting him guiding me.

"Because it's surprise, if you saw it before we got there it wouldn't be a surprise anymore." He explains.

"Okay, are we almost there?" I ask.

"Almost." He says chuckling.

My heart is beating a thousand miles per hour and my body wants to shake with fear.

I am holding it back because then Ash would ask why I am so afraid.

He is making me uncomfortable, he still seems to be thinking because he is whispering in audible words to himself and chuckling every few minutes.

"We are here." He finally says taking off my blind fold.

He has one hand behind his back but I think nothing of it.

I put my arms out for a hug and he walks straight into my arms.

"What's behind your b-" I say but get cut off my a unbearable pain in my lower abdomen.

I look down and see a knife and Ash smiling.

"W-Why did you do that?" I stutter in shock. I knew something was wrong.

"I have been planning this for so many years." He says proudly "Today was finally the day I decided to do it - the day I would kill you, my 'best friend'."

"Why would you want to kill me?" I ask while collapsing to the ground and break into a fit of coughs.

"Do you really want to know why?" He asks and I weakly nod my head. "Because I can."

"Please help me." I stutter.

"Why would I help you after I have gotten this far?" He asks. "This is my life long dream finally being accomplished!"

"Please." I whisper.

"Have fun bleeding out here, I will be having fun in Canada." He whispers while stroking my face then getting up and leaving.

"Stop! Stop!" I whisper.

"It's too late, Jessamine. It's too late." He says and continues walking away - away from me and towards Canada.

I take one final breath and close my eyes one last time - forever.
