Today is the public announcement and I am worried. Ash, Iris, and I are going to be standing on the stage in front of everyone while the speech is being given.

Today is the day we will all be considered Americans.

Not just some of us, all of us.

In the past few weeks Iris and I have gotten closer, and Ash and I have gone on a few dates.

My great grandfather and I also went out to lunch together and talked for a while, turns out we both have an obsession with tacos.

I am currently getting ready with Iris, apparently she is very good with doing makeup.

I am in black strapless dress that is knee length and has small crosses all over it.

The dress may not look great on the shelf but it looks gorgeous on.

"Are you almost done?" I ask Iris.

"Almost, all I need is mascara so open your eyes wide." She say and I obey.

She takes out a stick which she calls mascara and puts it on my eye lashes.

"You're not going to poke my eyes out right?" I ask.

"Of course not, unless you move." She says.

"Fine. Are you done?" I ask again.

"I'm done, now I have to do mine quickly." She says while walking to the mirror near by and starts hers.

I look at my makeup in awe, I actually look pretty.

"Wow, my makeup looks amazing." I say. "I would have never thought you would be his girly."

"Why's that?" She asks while she starts putting mascara on herself.

"You said you were running around the woods by yourself for months, any super girly girl would never do that type of stuff." I say.

"True, I'm not that girly though. Only when I get to dress up I will go all out." She says.

"Okay, are you done?" I ask.

"Done." She says. "Now lets go meet Ash in his room, hopefully he is ready."

"He probably isn't." I say laughing.

"Probably not, but you never know."

"Let's go." I say dragging her down the hall to his room and I knock.

Surprisingly, Ash is ready.

He is wearing a black suit and looks incredible.

"You look. . . wow." He says in awe.

"Thanks, you look amazing." I say kissing him on the nose.

"We have to go." He says smiling taking my hand.

"I know, come on." I say returning the smile.

We are standing on the stage waiting for the public announcement to begin.

Ash and I have received many dirty looks, most of them were at me.

I assume it is because they are jealous, but who wouldn't be when I have an amazingly attractive boyfriend.

"Ahem." Says my great grandfather, also know as our first president of America.

"Good evening, today I gathered all of you here to share that the law for America has been passed.

The law will be activated immediately, so at the conclusion of this announcement you will all be considered Americans, and the American laws will be activated.

There will be no age limit on love, anyone can love at whatever age they want to.

Drugs will still be illegal, but that is the only rule from the Society that will remain a law for America.

Every American Citizen will receive an email or letter listing the laws of our newfound country, there are too many to list as of now.

Every single one of you in this town listening to me - none of this would have happened with out Jessamine Cicely, Ash Tate, and Iris Grace.

Please, don't thank me for this, thank them." He says then gets cut off by thousands of thank you's.

"Everyone in this country, and I mean every is now officially an American!" He yells then everyone cheers.

I cheer until Ash comes up to me and kisses me and everyone cheers louder.

Ash said when I suggested a rebellion we would live together in peace as Americans.

He kept his promise, we are Americans, and we will be together forever.
