"I think he hit me extra times because it's my birthday." Iris says with fake enthusiasm when we get thrown back into our cell.
"Our food is cold now but it's better than nothing." I say after taking a bite of my potatoes.
"My back hurts so badly." Ash complains while laying down on his stomach.
"Next time he comes to get us we should do something so we can get out." Iris says.
"Like what? Next time he comes in we can't just run past him and get out." He says frustrated.
"We could pretend to be hurt and have another guard help us get up, we could knock them out, then change into their "uniforms." I suggest.
"That's a perfect idea! But what if we get caught?"
"We run." I say then look out into the hallway and see three files, on the floor like how there is at hospitals--it has all the patients information.
I reach out and grab it then bring them to Ash and Iris, "Look what I found. "
I give Ash and Iris the one that has their name on it and open mine.

My whole body starts to tremble. "G-Guys." I say.
"Are you okay?" They both ask while walking up to me and I rapidly shake my head.
"Read this." I say while trembling and clinging onto Ash tightly.
After they read it there faces go so pale they look transparent.
"We can't try to break out, I don't want to die." I say stuttering with my voice shaking and sobbing.
"We won't go then. We will wait until we are bailed out." He says while hugging me and I nod while sniffling.
I pull away and pick up my paper and it changed.

"Guys, it changed, my death date changed." I say confused.
"What do you mean it changed?" Iris asked while looking at me like I'm crazy.
"See, look." I say giving them my paper.
"How did it do that?" Ash asks.
"I-I don't k-know, if it changed like that it must mean that someone is watching us--and they can hear us." I say suddenly feeling strange.
"There's no cameras in here, nobody can be watching us. If they were they would know about our plans and put us somewhere else." Iris says looking scared.
"Exactly, maybe the guards work with the Society and change the information somehow." He says.
"But how? I didn't see any guards in the hallway--only at the end of the hallway, and they can't hear us from here." I say shaking my head.
"How about we figure this out tomorrow, I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired." Iris says climbing into bed lying on her side.
"Okay, goodnight." I say lying down and falling asleep almost as fast I woke up.
