Chapter 7: Drunk

Harvey's P.O.V.

My mind is really busy with all the things going on in my life.

If only I didn't love her.

If only I stopped my dad.

If only I was brave enough.

If only I could return back to the past.

If only, if only, if only.

There are a lot of it in my head.

I was at my favorite part of granny's land.

*sigh*

This is where we used to hang out whenever we visit here.

"Daddy! Come on let's run!" Little Harvey shouted as he ran into the field with a smile.

"I'm gonna get you! " his daddy said. both of them looking as happy as ever.

The afternoon was filled with giggles and laughter as they played in the field. While Harvey's mother was sitting not far from where they were at, enjoying the view of her husband and son enjoying each others company.

I gulped another bottle of beer and let myself get drunk with the alcohol taken.

Then another memory comes in my head.

4th year high school. . .

I was at the restaurant. Waiting for her.

'This is it. I'm gonna ask her.'

A few minutes passed, she arrived. wearing a white dress that reached her knee. her hair placed in a bun with some hair that framed her face. Making her more beautiful.

'She's beautiful.'

When her eyes met mine, she started walking towards where I was at.

Once she was at the table, I stood on my feet and pulled out a chair for her to sit.

We exchanged greetings and then ordered the food. we let the conversation go with the flow. Talking about some random stuffs.

Then...

'It's time.'

"Mae..?"

She looked at my eyes and her's was asking. "Yes?"

"Mae, I know that what I felt for you is true. And I know that it sounds cheesy or corny but... .* sigh* You are my life." by now her eyes were watering. "Since freshman year I got this huge crush on you and I admit that." A chuckle passed my lips."I won't make this long." I reached out for the bouquet of daffodils, then.

I knelt down beside the table, facing her.

"Mae, will you be my girlfriend?"

She stood up and hugged me." Yes, I'll be your girlfriend."

Its funny how I lost two of the most important people in my life in just one day.

What a nice joke right?

I mean who does that?

I let out a bitter laugh as I chug another bottle of beer.

I didn't care if I'll get drunk with alcohol.

Actually this is my first time drinking this shit.

And I guess it felt right at the moment. Besides I'm at the right age.

I groaned because of the pain that my head is causing.

Why does this keep hurting? Ugghh...

My vision is starting to spin. Everything is getting blurry by the second.

I noticed that a figure of a girl was approaching me. Maybe running or walking?

She was wearing a white dress I guess.

Wait is she Mae?

That can't be.

"Ugghh!!! " I groaned again.

What is up with you head?

- - - Blackness - - -

'Son'

' Son..' The voice echoed in my head.

' yes? .... uh....who's there?'

I was back to this place again. A room full of  nothing but white.

'Son, it's me.'

That voice...

It can't be daddy. His voice is different.

'I'll be waiting... SON'

- ' - ' - ' - ' -

I opened my eyes to see I'm in my room.

What happened?

Then a memory comes in my head again.

-

I was at our favorite spot.

Then I was drunk and talking to myself.

My head hurts.

A girl? Was approaching me.

When she helped me to get up.

Then I felt tingles?

-

Who helped me last night?

The door slowly opened and the girl slowly came in.

Wait.

I think I saw that dress and figure before.

" Oh, your awake."
