Control // Ieyasu Tokugawa

Being the only one capable of calming the beast, and taming him obviously came with many perks. First of all, being the only woman to see his carefree smile. Second being the only person to get his best, no crappy attitude, less sarcasm etc.

Of course, when Ieyasu decided to take the princess out to go find some books from the Azuchi library, Mitsunari shows up. Ieyasu doesn't necessarily enjoy his company. But it's quite the opposite for Mitsunari. He practically adores Ieyasu.

"What a coincidence, Ieyasu, that we decide to visit the library on the same day!"

"Yeah, what a coincidence. Why don't you go tell everyone the great news. I'm sure you're here everyday, it was only the matter of me coming." The princess has been around long enough to know their relationship was... one sided.

Mitsunari had just walked in and already has a pile of soft cover books in his arms. No one will see those books for a while. He has piles in his room taller than he is, enough books to actually start his own library. And the sad thing is, he doesn't even notice.

"Stop it," Ieyasu glares at Mitsunari as he innocently hummed a song he heard (Y/N) hum once or twice. The only difference is Ieyasu actually knew the words.

"Come on, we have places to be," he grabs his girlfriend's hand and starts for the door.

"Oh, I bet we're going to the same place again. A council maybe? See you there after I drop off my books. Nice seeing you (Y/N). Always a pleasure to be in the presence of my princess."

My princess?? Ieyasu thinks over his words.

He turns on his feet but (Y/N) stops him before he could start a long wanted fight, holding his cheeks so he looks into her eyes.

"You're not his," he whispers to her like she wasn't already aware.

"I'm not his, I'm yours, Ieyasu," the simple sentence calms his built up nerves.

They were the first in the meeting hall, waiting for the other warlords to return for the early morning war council. Ieyasu makes conversation with the woman in his arms while they hold each other in the almost empty room.

Eventually, Hideyoshi came and tidied up the meeting room before greeting Ieyasu.

"What do you want?"

After receiving one of Ieyasus' famous greetings, he turns to (Y/N). Hideyoshi truly sees the princess as his long lost daughter. He feels strongly to protect and spoil her.

"How's my beloved (Y/N) this fine winter morning? Oh, how I missed your presence in cousils. It appears to me that the energy, in rooms you're in, well... they seem to be better? Meetings fly by with you around. So, I'm glad you could be here today."

"Oh great! He's back," Ieyasu hides behind his girlfriend.

"Thank you Hidey-" the princess starts before being interrupted.

"Oh. Hideyoshi, hello! You'll never believe it when I tell you, I met Ieyasu and princess (Y/N) in the library before we came here. We think so a like. Can you believe that?"

Ieyasu... didn't like or appreciate Mitsunari in the slightest and his only wish was that his girlfriend would think the same. He huffed as she replied with her sweet smile.

"I forgot to ask, have you finished that Water Meets War book yet? Also, thank you very much Hideyoshi."

Mitsunari chuckled. "I could ask you the same about your book, princess."

Hideyoshi didn't have a chance to reply to Mitsurani initial question. (Y/N) and Mitsurani kept chatting away.

(Y/N) blushes at the formal name she can't seem to shake. The conversation got quieter until they were whispering and Ieyasu couldn't hear a thing, but their mouths were moving.

The princess was so close to Mitsunari at this point. The warlord was now touching her elbow, guiding her into him still discussing books.

"(Y/N)!" Ieyasu was frightened at the scene before him. Mitsunari was everything he wasn't and he worried maybe (Y/N) wanted more than he could offer.

Their eyes met in an understanding. She immediately stopped the conversation and leaned into Ieyasu's chest. At this time, the Devil King enters the room with an abnormally large smirk.

"Hello, princess."

"When does it end?" Ieyasu thinks outloud.

"Hello, Nobunaga," her voice was booming as the warlord stopped to start a conversation with his allies girl friend. Until...

"Keep walking, Oda," his arms wrapped protectively around her shoulders as he sent very obvious glares Nobunaga's way.

"Ieyasu..." his girlfriend speaks up, unable to believe her own ears. Hideyoshi was cursing him out under his breath.

Nobunaga would be jealous too with a woman like that, if he were Ieyasu. He only chuckled as he made his way to his seat in the front of the room, staring back at y/n, purposefully sending seductive glances when Ieyasu was watching.

"I'd watch out if I were you, Ieyasu."

"And why is that?"

"A pretty woman like that ... hmm she wouldn't stay single for long. You can't love her if you're dead."

Ieyasu didn't reply instead tightened his grip on his only. She played with his long blonde locks, settling the fire a blazing inside him. She hums to him, the same song Mitsurani was humming only minutes ago. But the hums had a different effect on him.

Yawning and blinking quickly, he leans on her.

"(Y/N), are you okay?" Mitsurani looks concerned for her.

"It's complicated."

"Hey," his hand rested on her thigh. "I'm here for you always, princess. Remember we are friends." Mitsurani smile was too much for Ieyasu.

"You are not her friend. You know nothing about her. Now go!" His eyes were wide open at this point.

Only a few minutes pass before the room is full.

"You're happiness is everything to me," Ieyasu looked genuinely confused as he glanced into her big eyes. "Did I make you sad?"

"Ieyasu," (Y/N) noticed the council was starting. She noticed a few men were looking at them. I mean, she is sitting, facing Ieyasu ... in his lap. This didn't stop her though. "I love you. You've never wronged me, but you must allow me to have friends!"

She enclosed their foreheads until the were touching. Then, surprising him, she kissed his nose.

"If not friends, my love, then friendly conversations. That's all I ask of you."

"You're asking too much."
