Once in a million years a lady like her rises...

Tifani's POV
Two weeks have passed since my car accident and I'm getting better everyday. Stevie is such an amazing girlfriend, she spends all her time with me and I have to force her to go home and shower.
"Tifani, you've shown a really good progress in your chart, and I believe that now you'll be free to go home, with some restrictions of course." Doctor Robins says. "You will not be able to go up and down the staircase, and I don't want you doing any kind of activities that will make you move a lot!" She finishes and winks at Stevie. Doctor Robins leaves the room after signing the papers, and my beautiful girlfriend helps me to get dressed and ready to go home. The car ride is quiet and I'm a little tense, Stevie realized that and holds my hand saying that everything is fine. When we get to the house, she helps me out of the car and I walk with my crunches, Karen comes to help me and I see that she looks different, she's hiding something from me. When I walk into the house, I see my parents and my brother. I start to cry and my dad comes to hug me. "Baby, we thought we had lost you. We were so scared when Karen called us telling that you were in a accident and we could not come right away, we just prayed." My mom and my brother hug me, and I look back to see Stevie leaning against the wall just watching everything with Karen.
"Mom, dad, and bro, I have the pleasure to finally introduce you to one of the most important people of my life, Karen!" I point to Karen, blowing her a kiss and everybody starts to laugh. I walk to Stevie and hold her hand to bring her closer but I almost lose my balance, she runs and grabs me by the waist. "Family, this is Stephanie Lynn Nicks, my girlfriend." Stevie helps me to seat on the couch and shyly greeting them with a handshake, but my parents give her a warm hug and my brother starts to talk about how he learned to play the guitar to Fleetwood Mac songs.
"We can go and rock on my studio later, if you want." Stevie says and messes up his hair. My dad clears his throat.
"JWe would like to talk to you Stephanie, in private if possible." My parents look at me, and Stevie just guides them to her office giving me a peck before leaving the room.
"Everything is fine sis... they just wanna have THE TALK like they had with Jesse." My little brother gives me a kiss and we start to talk about music and movies....

Stevie's POV

I am so nervous, it's the first time that I have to talk with the parents of someone that I'm dating and it is scary. Our age difference now strikes me, making me realize that her parents are younger than me. I serve them the coffee I just brew, knowing how much they love coffee. "Stephanie, first of all thank you for everything you've done for our daughter." Tifani's dad starts. "We've never seen her like this after what happened." His voice cracks and I can feel the pain that they feel. "We tried our hardest to bring her back to the light, and you are an angel that showed up and rescued her! Your songs were always playing around the house, and we knew that as long as she had it, she would fight." I stand up and give them both a hug, tears coming down my face.
"She is the one." I say, they look at me and her mom dries the tears out of my cheek. "I know I'll be with her for the rest of my life... and I know that it is scary for you, because I'm a famous woman, I'm older than you and because I always said I was never going to get married, but Tifani made me change it all. Since the day I saw her for the first time, wrapped around that Brazilian flag, I knew it was her!" I look into their eyes, holding their hands. "And I ask for your blessing, and I promise to love and respect her through the hard times just as in the easy ones!"
"Welcome to the family Stevie!!! Now, can I have your autograph?" Simone starts to laugh and joke around while Clodo pours more coffee into his mug. I can feel his energy, so I get closer and ask. "What's the diagnosis?" He looks scared.
"How did you know? I haven't told anyone yet." I sadly smile at him. "So the witchy rumors are real?" I nod, looking at Simone that is still happily absorbing everything.
"No, but I can feel things, and your energy is telling me that something is really wrong." I hold his hand and seat by his side. "What is it?" "Prostrate cancer, I don't know how much time I have and I did not want to tell anyone after what happened to Tifani." He is about to cry, and I tell him to tell Simone. He shakes his head and I leave the room, with the excuse that I have to male more coffee. When I get to the kitchen I can hear Tifani laughing with her little brother and I start crying, it breaks my heart to know that they will have to go through this again, just 1 year after they lost their aunt. "Are you okay Stevie?" Karen asks me, I shake my head and give her a big hug telling her everything.
     No one's POV
Dinner did not take long, but everyone could feel that something was wrong. The air was super thick that you could cut it with a knife, and Tifani's parents left Stevie's office awfully quiet.  "Soooo, what's going on here folks?" Davi asks. "We're at Stevie Nicks house and you're all weird. C'mon cheer up!" He says and everybody stops eating, Clodo breathes deeply and holds Simone's hand,
"Well, we have something to tell you guys... I have cancer." Stevie sees Tifani's face become pale and all the happiness that Davi had disappear in seconds.
"When? When did you find out?" Tifani asks, trying to stay calm while Stevie holds her hand.
"Before your birthday, but I did not want to ruin it so I decided to wait... they don't know how we're going to do it." Tifani stands up and starts to yell.
"You found out almost a month ago and didn't even think that maybe it would be important for your daughter to know about it? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU DADDY?" She grabs her crunches and goes to the room she was staying downstairs. "I should go check on her... Karen, please take them to their rooms upstairs." Stevie says looking at Karen, walking by Davi and giving kids a kiss on the head. "We can rock a little in my studio tomorrow... goodnight everybody. I love you guys!"
Stevie opens the door to find her girlfriend crying curled in bed, she was feeling bad just seeing the woman she loved so hurt. "White Dove, I'm here for you." She took her shoes off and laid in bed, allowing Tifani to cuddle with her. Stevie started to run her fingers through the curly mess. "I'm so sorry about that, but we will be in this together! I love them like my own family."  Tifani turns and looks at Stevie, giving her a weak smile.
"And I love you Stephanie Lynn!"
