A/N: look who's back guys...
I'm so sorry for not being here lately, but I was going through a replay bad time, struggling a lot with everything and wanting to give up.... but thankfully to some amazing people, I'm back at the game!
This chapter is dedicated to my Songbird, holomwrmaid and catjanegrant THANK YOU LOVES

Mia's POV

I hold hands with my moms and we walk into the house together... there I see a lot of familiar faces, and I recognize all of them from pictures my moms have showed me throughout the process.
"Welcome home sunshine!" A woman that I recognize as aunt Lori says and opens her arms, giving me a hug. "We are so glad we're finally meeting you. " I smile and try to take in all of the joy that having this family brought me.
As the time passes by, a few people start to go home, and by the end of the party, just my family sticks around.
"Do you like musicals?" Aunt Em asks me.
"Yessss! My favorite one is Hamilton." I smile "I actually went to watch it with my late parents when it opened."
"That's so awesome." She pokes my side "Did your mom tell you that I work on Broadway?" I nod my head once more, and we start talking non stop about theatre and things related to it.

Stevie's POV

I don't know what to say, so I look around and just watch my family.
Mia and Emily are lost in their own world, Barbara and Robin are playing guitar hero with Roman, Harry is being held by Mick, and Tifani... I don't see her anywhere.
"Whatcha doing?" Tifani whispers into my ear and squeezes my side, making me jump for my life.
"Do you wanna kill me? For fuck sake babe, I almost had a heart attack," I say and she just starts laughing, hugging me and giving me a kiss on the cheek. "I'm so glad that she seems to be adapting well... I was so nervous." I look into her eyes, and Tifani nods her head.
"I was scared of that too. I didn't know how she would react to all of this, so I almost had my mom canceling the welcome home party, but I'm glad I didn't. Mia looks so happy!" Tifani looks at me and goes to the kitchen, grabbing something to eat.
"Aunt Stevie, Mia is amazing... she is the perfect mixture of you and Tif, and she seems to be a perfect match to our huge dysfunctional family. I'm so happy for you guys!" Jessica gives me a hug and we keep talking fir a while.

Lori and Christopher just left, making me promise that we will go visit them soon. I walk back to the living room, and get closer to Mia and Emily.
"If it ever happened, it would be amazing
! But I'm sure that my mom wouldn't think I'm talented enough to sing with me and allow me to put it on YouTube." Mia says.
"Are you kidding me? The videos you showed me just proof how talented you are. And I'm sure your mom will love to sing with you, Mia!" Emily says and brushes my daughter's hair with her fingers.
"I'm sure we will record something soon, honey!" I say and sit by their side.

"And this is your room, sweetie. Our room is just around the corner, and feel free to go there if you need anything. There are towels and other bath things in the closet right there... we didn't know which ones to buy, so you have a few to choose from!" Tifani says and I can see that she's super nervous, so I hold her hand, showing her support.
"The clothes are inside that other closet, honey. Now, we are gonna let you  take your shower! We love you, and welcome home!"  I say before closing the door.
"Now let's go to bed, beautiful. We will have long days ahead!" Tifani holds me while we go to our room.

Tifani's POV

"Mom, now I get it why you always said that teenagers are the worst. Mia is the best, but her mood swings are so bad now. She cries and yells for no reason, then after a few minutes she's super loving and touchy!" I say and my mom laughs sitting on the couch. "That's not funny mom, she's driving me crazy!" I start to tear up.  "I love her more than life itself mom, but I don't know if I'm ready to deal with the whole teenage drama."
"I didn't think I was ready to deal with yours all well... and don't even get me started on your brother. You and Stevie are doing great, l you will feel like you're failing, but you're not! Trust your old mom Tifani!" My mom says and and just throw my arms round her neck, giving her a bear hug.
"Mom, you're the best! But now I need to go pick up my moody teenager daughter from volleyball. Can you keep an eye on Harry?"
"Sure can sweetie. Go pick up my fav Brazilian granddaughter." My mom laughs and I grab my keys, making my way to the car.

"Hey honey... how are you?" I say when Mia opens the door.
"Hey mom, I'm fine, thanks! Can we go home?" She doesn't even look at me, her eyes glued to her phone.
"Mia Loures Nicks, can you put that damn phone away for a second and talk to me?" I get pissed at her attitude.
"What do you want, mom? I DONT KNOW IF YOU KNOW THAT, BUT BEING YOUR CHILD SUCKS SOMETIMES!" Mia yells at me and I don't know what to say, so I just turn the car on and start to drive, no saying anything.
As soon as we park, sua opens the door and runs into the house.
"DONT YOU DARE TO SLAM THAT DOO-" I cant finish my phrase because she already slammed the door and went in.
I try to calm down a little before going into the house, but I can't believe that she's acting like this. And what she said about being my child is hurting me.

Once I get in, everything is super calm and I can't find my mom anywhere. I look for her at the kitchen, but she's nowhere to be seen, so when I go up the stairs I find her by nursery's door. As I get closer, I can hear Mia's voice, and she's talking to Harry.
"I love our moms Harry, I really do. But sometimes people can be mean when they find out that they're our parents. But you don't need to worry, because I will always protect you!" She says and we all can hear Harry mumbling something then laughing.

I follow my mom downstairs, and I'm still in shock after what I heard. "You need to talk to Stevie about it, then you two need to talk to her." My mom starts "There's something going wrong with Mia, and she clearly won't talk to you unless you pressure her."
"Do you think you and dad can stay with the kids at your house, so the three of us can have dinner and talk?"
"We sure can honey. I will call your dad and tell him that he can come and pick us up." My mom says and goes to talk to my dad, while I go to the girls room to fix their bag, and after I'm done I grab Harry from his crib, taking him downstairs to his grandma.
"Your dad is picking the girls up from school, so I'm taking Harry with me now. Bye honey!" She gives me a kiss. "BYE MIA, GRANDMA LOVES YOU!" She screams, and waits for an answer.
"BYE GRANDMA, I LOVE YOU TOO!" My daughter screams from her room, and I sadly smile at my mom, watching her leave with my boy.

After I eat something, I grab my phone and call Karen.
"Hey Kar, is my wife there now? Or is she recording?" Karen tells me that Stevie is recording a song. "Okay then... tell her to meet us at Mia's favorite restaurant at 7:30pm, okay? It is really important, so she needs to be there! Love you, bye bye."

I just sit on the chair near the pool and cry. How can I be failing at my most important at job, and I feel like I'm just going to fail more and more. I hate seeing my kids hurt and sad, so I decide to swallow my tears and go tell Mia that we're going to eat dinner at her favorite restaurant.
I knock at her door, and open it "Hey Mia, just letting you know that we're going to meet your mom for dinner at your favorite place by 7:30pm, so we are leaving the house in 40 minutes, okay?" She doesn't even looks up from the book she's reading, just nods her head and I let her enjoy her own company for a little more, while I go get dressed myself.
