Tifani could not sleep after that, she just wanted Stevie to wake up... she didn't know what to do without the love of her life. "Good morning Mrs Nicks." The Doctor said as he walked into the room. "Did anything happened during the night?"
"I thought I felt her move a little." Tifani said "But is only my imagination. I just wish things were different!" She mumbled, looking at her fragile wife, that looked so pretty, even though the whole situation was overwhelming, Tifani knew that their love would conquer it all at the end.
"Tifani, I think what you felt wasn't just an illusion." The doctor was checking Stevie's charts. "The machines detected a sign of brain activity! Which means that your wife is coming back!" He smiles at her, and gave her a gentle squeeze on the shoulder.

Jessie was with Stevie while Tifani went home to grab some stuff. She didn't want to leave her wife, but her kids needed her too.
"Mommy, do you think that mamma will wake up soon?"  Robin asked her mommy and curled up with her teddy bear. Both of the girls were sleeping at Tifani's bed. It felt super empty without Stevie in it, and her girls being there made it more suitable.
"I don't know baby girl. But I'm sure that she will be missing you a lot!" Tifani kissed her daughters and went downstairs to talk to her mom, Simone has been such a great helper.
"Mom, I'm going back to the hospital. Barbara is already asleep, and Robin was still awake when I left the room." She hugged her mom.
"Happy Mother's Day honey!" Simone said, and just now Tifani realized that it was already midnight, so it was officially Mother's Day.
"I'm so sorry mom. I got so busy that I didn't even realize that it was Mother's Day this weekend." Tifani cries at her mom's embrace. She needed to be stronger than ever now.
"Don't you think it's better for you to go to sleep while Jessie is still there? Go lay down with your girls, and once you wake up, then you go spend the rest of the day with your Stevie!" Simone could see how her daughter was getting sick of dividing herself between her wife and her kids. "I will male you some tea before you go back to bed, though."
"Mom, you are my life saver! I don't know what I would do without you! I love you so much!" Tifani followed her mother to the kitchen where they chatted and drank their tea until the sun started to rise.
"You better go to bed young lady! Your daughters will be up soon." Simone said and hugged her daughter. "I love you honey. I'm so proud of what you've become!"

Jessie's POV

I decided to stay at the hospital so Tifani could go home and rest a bit. Since aunt Stevie stopped doing klonopin I've never seen her this fragile. I have a few glances of one time when my parents took me to the hospital to see her, and I could barely recognize the woman I consider to be my second mom. Her hair was was grey, and her skin was all molted.
Now things are different. She got married to Tifani and together they have the cutest girls on Earth, making family much more fun. "Hey auntie Stevie. I'm sure that you can hear me, and I just wanna say that I love you. You've been one of my best friends since I can remember, and being part of your family means the world to me. It's officially Mother's Day now, and I never thought I would say that, but happy Mother's Day! I love you." I lean to kiss her forehead when her eyes shot open. They're moving frantically, and the machines start to make noises. "Try to calm down aunt Stevie. I will call the doctors!" I say and rush to find the doctors. I go up the stairs, then down the hall, until I find her doctor.
"Is everything okay, Jessica?" Doctor Avery asks me and I just nod.
"It's aunt Stevie. She opened her eyes." I say and he just starts to run towards my aunt's room.

   Tifani's POV

I wake up to see my bed empty, and I can hear my girls giggling outside the door. I pretend to be asleep still when I hear they open the door and bring in a breakfast cart and then my girls jump on me to wake me up.
"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOMMY!!! We love you!" They both say and I'm so glad for having these two angels in my life.
"Thank you girls!!! Mommy loves you too!!" I feel like all the worries have vanished, knowing that the storm that we were going to would be over soon. "Who helped you with that?" I point to the breakfast cart.
"Auntie Lori and uncle Chris did it. They are downstairs." I nod and start to eat with my daughters, trying to make it as usual as we can, even though it's weird to celebrate Mother's Day without my other half.
After we are done eating, my girls just cuddle in bed with me, and we start to watch a movie. "Knock knock... can I come in?" Lori pokes her head through the door.
"Sure can, Lori!" She sits by my side and gives me a hug.
"Happy Mother's Day momma bear!" Lori hugs me and I just let my body relax on her embrace. She has become more that a sister-in-law to me, she became kind of a mother. "All is well, Tiff." She kisses my hair and keeps watching the movie with us.

After lunch, Chris is playing with the girls outside, and Lori and I are cleaning the dishes, and brewing some coffee. "Thanks Lori. For everything. Since the beginning you've been such a great supporter of us. I don't even know what to say to you." I pour her a cup of coffee and watch her as she cleans some tears.
"Ooh honey, stop it! Since Stevie met you, we all knew that it was something special. She was laughing more, she was talking more. She was feeling more alive since the first day you got into her life. We will always be grateful for everything you've done to our Stevie!"
"Lori, she is the one who changed me. I was broken and scared, but she held my hand, and too-" The phone starts to ring, calling our attention.
"Hey Jessie. Is everything okay?" Lori is startling at me, bitting her lip nervously. "What?? I'm going there right now! I love you too honey. Happy Mother's Day!" I turn the phone off and start to run around the kitchen, grabbing my keys.
"What happened sweetie?" Lori asked grabbing Barbara and placing her on her waist.
"It's Stevie, Lori." I grab Robin and give her a kiss on her forehead. "She just woke up!" My girls just stare at us, not knowing what was happening.
"Let's go then! I need to see my sister." Chris yells and grabs the car keys.

Our way to the hospital is quiet, we are all lost in our own thoughts, and just the feeling that I'm gonna see my wife again, makes me feel like I have butterflies in my stomach.

"Girls, can you stay with auntie Lori and uncle Chris for a while? Mommy needs to see Mamma first." My girls nod and I enter the room. Jessie is sitting in a chair by Stevie's bed, and Stevie is talking to her. I have tears in my eyes, and I walk slowly to their side, just being noticed when I cannot hold my sobs back.
"White Dove?" Stevie asks and I just run towards her.
The storm was over, and we could keep living in our rainbowland.
