Tifani's POV
"Honey, everything is fine." I say while holding the phone between my head and shoulder. "We just need to keep doing it they way we always did." I sigh and deeply breathe. "I love you Stephanie. Your girls and I miss you so much!"
"I love you too White Dove. Just one more month, and I'll be back home!" She turns the phone off, and I clean some tears that are falling down.
Stevie is touring again, and after having her home for so long, it takes a lot to get used to being far away from her.
It is the second time that she's touring since the girls were born, but the first time that she goes on a long tour.
"Mommy?" Barbara show up at my door, she has green eyes, and curly hair. People say she looks like a mini me, but she has Stevie's personality.
"Yes baby girl..." I sit up on bed and tap on my side, making the little girl run and jump on my bed.
"When is mamma coming home? I miss her, and I know that you and Robin miss her too." She cuddles with me, and I can see that her eyes carry a sad expression.
"Hey... hey Barb, it's okay. Mamma loves us, and she is touring with aunt Lori and aunt Sharon, remember?" She nods and I continue. "I know that you miss her, and I miss her too, but she is doing it because that's her job an-" I stop when I hear loud footsteps coming down the hall, and seconds later a sleepy Robin shows up rubbing her eyes. She just looks at us and runs to the bed, jumping on my other side, making me sit in between them.
"Good Morning Robin." I miss her forehead, and she stares at me with her brown honey eyes. She hugs me and starts to cry. "What's wrong baby?" I let her sob into my shirt, just caressing her brown straight her. She is a mini Stevie, but has my personality.
"I want mamma to be here, too. I miss cuddling with her!" My heart breaks to see my girls so fragile.
Stevie went touring for the first time after the girls were born when they had just turned 2, and she would come home every 3 days, flying back and forth in between concerts. It was super difficult, she was so tired, and it was making all of us miserable. So when they decided that she was going to go on tour again, now that the girls are older (they turned 5 not long ago), we decided that it would be better for all of us, for Stevie to do things the way she always did.
Being a child of a dad that used to travel a lot, it gave me experience of how to deal with situations like this, and knowing that Stevie was also sad about being far from us, it gave me an idea.
"Girls, can you stay here for a few minutes, while mommy goes and gets something for us?" They just nod and I run into Stevie's creative room, and grab the journal she wrote when we were taking time apart from each other, when I was still pregnant.
I run back to my room, to find the cutest/heartbreaking scene: both of my girls wrapped around their mamma's big pillow, smelling it like it was the only thing they had. I lay back with them, and open the journal.
"So, when mommy was pregnant with you, mamma and I had to take some time apart from each other, but that doesn't mean that we loved each other less." I find the page, and a lot of memories come back, making me smile. "So, one night you two would not stop moving, then grandma Simone said that I was because you were missing your mamma, so I decided to call her and ask her to calm you down." They both giggle, my heart warms up. "And she did it. Her amazing voice calmed you down, and she told you a story, that she wrote here." Barb and Robin smile at each other, and get comfier to hear the story.
"C'mon mommy. We wanna hear the story!" Robin claps excitedly, and Barbara just laughs.
"Okay girls. Here we go: mamma wrote -
'Once upon a time, there was a really famous Queen. People from all over the world would come to see her, some believed that she was a witch of some sort, and some said that she was just a super talented woman.
But what they didn't know was that the Queen was unhappy inside, because she thought she would spend the rest of her life alone. She didn't need anyone, and she always said that she was never going to get married or have kids." I have tears falling down my face, and I know that she does too. "But everything changed one night, when the Queen was told by one of her best friends, about a princess that came from a far far away kingdom. They told the Queen, that the princess was pretty inside and out, and that she was in love with the Queen.
The Queen thought it was impossible, the princess was too young and beautiful to fall in love with her, and she had that reputation.
But when they met, she felt what she never felt before, not even with a king she really loved in the past. She felt that the princess would be loving, caring, and understanding. And against all the odds, the Queen married the Princess, and even though a lot of bad things try to separate them, nothing works, and you know why? Because their love, it is called true love.' And that's how mamma ended up that day's writing. What do you think?" I look down to see my two girls asleep, snoring and holding their mamma's pillow.
I decide to go downstairs and make a call.

Stevie's POV
This tour is killing me, and now more than ever, I understand why Lori decided to step back when Jessie was born.
It breaks my heart to see how Tifani and my babies miss me, and I miss them so much that it hurts.
I pat Lilly's head, and make my way out to the side of the stage, just waiting for my cue to go out. "You're gonna do great Stevie, and don't forget we all love you!" Karen hugs me and helps me to put my boots on, kissing my forehead. "Let's Rock Boss!!!!" She puts her arms up and I walk on to the stage.
The concert is going fine, and when I go backstage for a little break, Karen is smiling.
"You're doing so great, Stevie. By far one of your best concerts!" She gives me a high five.
"I don't know what happened l, but I just started to feel great, so I will give them my best." I say and before I walk back to the stage, Karen says.
"Before you sing Landslide, just look around the stadium, to feel their love." I just nod my head and go on.
"This next song is one of the most important songs that I've ever written. It was written in a time where I was lost, and wasn't sure about what was going to happen.
It was written about a relationship that was trembling, but after a while it was made into a song about family, about growing up, and about changing for the better... it really is about love. Loving your partner-" cheers from the crowd made me giggle. "- loving your kids, loving your friends and family, and loving life!" At this moment I look down at the monitor and it says 'Surprise Stevie!! Look at the big screen behind you.'
The crowd is going insane, and when I look at the giant scream behind me, I see my wife and my 2 girls just waving at the camera. I look to the 1st row and see my three girls standing up, blowing me kisses and waving at me.
I start to cry, I held the tears for as long as I could, but it was just too overwhelming. The crowd just kept screaming, and after a while, I start to talk. "This is one of the most emotional moments that I've ever lived on stage. That gorgeous woman right there is my wife, Tifani Jane. And the two beautiful little girls there, are my daughters: Barbara Jane and Robin Lynn! This next song is for you girls, and it's called 'Landslide'."
I sing it, and after I'm done, I go backstage to change to 'Edge of seventeen' and the edge walk.
As soon as I get there, I see my 2 girls running towards me. I hug them and give them lots of kisses, running to change and go back on stage. After I'm done with the concert, I go back to my dressing room, to find my daughters playing with Lilly. I look for Tifani, but I don't see her anywhere.
"Hey Karen, Where's my wife?" She laughs and points towards the cafeteria. "Did you know about it?" I point to my daughters and she just nods. "I loveeee you Karen! Thank you so much. Now, can you take care of your goddaughters while I go find my wife?" "Sure can, Stevie. Go find your White Dove!"
As I walk tot he cafeteria, a lot of the crew members stop to talk to me, as I answer their questions, I look for my wife.
I find her in front of the coffee machine, just wandering around with her cup of coffee. I walk faster (thank God I'm wearing my tennis shoes now), and wrap my arms around her waist. "Thank you for making me the happiest woman on Earth!" I say and kiss her, not caring that we're in front of a lot of people.
Tifani lets out a moan and holds me. "Thank you for loving me!"
They walk hand in hand back to the dressing room.
