Love is life

Stevie's POV

My heart is shattered like never before. My baby girl is hurting because of me.
My body keeps shaking, and I can't control it. I get into a dark place, where my soul is surrounded by the old demons... I don't know what to do. Everything around me turns black, and it's hard to breathe.
  I feel someone's hands caressing my hair, making me slowly come back from my panic attack.
  "Steph, stay with me. Breathe in and out, follow my breathing, love." My wife's voice starts to calm me down, and when I open my eyes I see that we are already home. "Shhh, it's okay, babe." Tifani says and I just stare at her, tears coming down my face, and her expression show how scared she was.
"I'm sorry for freaking out, babe." I say and get out of the car, opening the door and going straight to the piano. "I'm going to be at the studio, if you need me, Tiff. I love you!" I yell before heading up to the studio.
I hate that I'm being this fragile in front of Tifani. She is pregnant, and I couldn't handle a woman saying bad things about my family? I can't even imagine all the social media hate that Tifani had been through when we started dating. That's why I don't use any of this, but now I need to fix this situation, and I know exactly how to do it.

  Narrator's POV

  "Of course you can. Thank you so much Chris! Love you!" Stevie turns the phone off and runs around  to find the best way to make this whole thing work.
Going back to the house, she can't find Tifani anywhere, so she realizes that her wife went for a walk with Lily and Ginny. She smiles and keeps finishing her calls.
  She just got out of a quick shower, hair up in a messy bun, wearing a robe, and when she opens the door, her arms are met by really familiar ones. "Oh my God, Roman. You've grown sooo much!" As soon as the 9 year old let go of her, her eyes find Jessica's who is bringing a lot of balloons, all rainbow colored.
"Thanks Jess, so much! I love you so much." Jess just rests her head at Stevie's shoulder and kisses her cheek.
"I'm so sorry aunt Stevie. How are you and Tiff about it?" Jessica asks, walking with the balloons towards the living room.
"I don't know where Tifani went. All I know is that she tools the dogs with her." Stevie giggles. "It wouldn't surprise me if she went to her parents' house."
"But they're coming, right?" Jess grabs a chair to start tying the balloons to where she wanted them to.
"Yes, and so are your parents, FM, and some of our friends." Stevie is missing something, so she looks around until she realizes. "Where's Alec?"
"He just went to pick up mom and help her with the cake." Stevie just laughs, watching Roman play with her guitar that was just laying around on the couch. "It's in his blood. Just look at his grandma and his auntie!" Jess laughs.

After a few hours of hard work, Stevie and her family finished fixing everything for the party. The theme was 'family is love is life', and they worked hard to get it all done before Tifani came back.

"Steph, what's happening here?" Tifani says when she comes into the room to find it all decorated and ready for their little gathering.
"Hey babe!" Stevie walked towards her wife and gave her a kiss. "We are gonna throw a little party to show our girls that what really matters is love." Tifani starts to cry and Stevie hugs the tallest one against her chest.
"That's super cute sis, but David just called and said that he's coming with the girls!" Christopher says and Stevie laughs, kissing Tifani's head and walking to the kitchen, to make her wife some tea.

  "They're hereeee!" Simone tells when she sees the car parking. Everybody gets quiet inside the house, and when the girls open the door, they scream in excitement.
"MOMMIES!!!!" They both run into their mothers' arms, and there are no dry eyes at the party. Even Chris is crying.
"Well girls." Tifani starts but she doesn't know how to keep going, so Stevie stands by her side. "Remember that we always talked to you about how sometimes people will judge our family? And that people will say bad things about you having two moms?" The girls nod, and Robin holds her sister's hand. "It will happen because some people don't understand that love is love, no matter what. But now I want you two to look around, and see every single person that is here." Robin and Barbara start to stare at every single family member and friends that are there, they keep giggling and whispering things to each other while doing it.
"Every single person in this room loves you, and they will always be there for you. No matter what, no matter where..." Tifani smiles at her parents. "Because they're all family, and that doesn't only mean blood, but much more than that. It means true love." Tifani finishes and her girls hug her,going to hug Stevie right after.
  "Can we say something?" Robin asks.
"Sure can, baby!" Stevie says.
They look at each other and count o three.
"WE HAVE THE BEST FAMILY IN THE WHOLE GALAXY!" They shout. "WE LOVE YOU!" Clodo starts to cheer at his granddaughters, and soon everybody is clapping.

"Sweetie, are you okay?" Mary Jane asks her daughter.
"I'm fine momma, I'm still trying to process the whole drama." Tifani let's out a sight and a single tear falls down her chin.
"You know, honey? When you came out, it was really hard for us to understand it. You lived with us for less than an year, but our connection was so amazing that I felt like I failed as a parent." Mary sits in chair and grabs Tifani's foot, starting to massage her swollen ankle. "I felt like I couldn't see the whole you, like I was too blind to face the truth. But then I talked to God and asked Him to guide me and dad to understand our beautiful Brazilian daughter and help her through the rough path she was going to face, and He did!" Tifani holds her mom's hand and just looks at her. "Dad and I called your parents in Brazil, then we called Lisa and David, and we all made a pact to do not let anything/anyone hurt you for being who you are. And remember that God is always with you and your amazing family." Mary Jane stands up and doesn't look at her daughter, she just hugs her and Tifani can feel that she's crying.
"I love you, momma!" "I love you more than words can describe, honey!" Mary Jane kisses her daughter's belly then walks back to the kitchen.
Tifani just stands still, staring at the kids playing outside. One of her hands on her belly, it's so natural that she doesn't realize it.
  Stevie is trying her hardest to not go there and start kissing her wife in front of everybody. Her smile is so natural, and she is totally oblivious to the conversation that Lori and Sharon started with her. "Earth to Stevie." Lori says when she snaps her fingers in front of her sister-in-law's face. "Can you not eat her wig you eyes, Stevie?" She giggles, and Sharon almost spits her drink.
"I'm so... I'm sorry. Where were we?" Stevie clears her throat and tries to focus, Sharon telling her about the guy she's seeing this time. 
"When do you think we'll be back at the studio, Stevie?" Sharon asks. "Because I thought about going to Greece for a few weeks next month."
"We're going back to the studio in 2 months." Stevie says, before checking her watch. "We will need time to arrange the nursery and throw a gender reveal party, then we will go back to the studio."
"So, you don't wanna find you before anyone this time?" Lori asks and says that she and Chris will be the ones responsible for the party. "Then we can plan everything ahead, so Sharon can be here for it all."
They keep talking and drinking until Sharon has to go to meet with her lover, leaving Stevie and Lori by themselves. Chris comes and hugs Lori, kissing her neck.
"Thank you, Stevie." Chris starts. "For showing me to the love of my life, and for making me see how stupid I was when we broke up."
"You know that I would always be by Lori's side bro, she's my best friend, and you were pretty dumb for breaking your wedding up." Stevie punch's his shoulder and walks towards the living room, to find all their friends and families together. She sees Mary Jane in a corner, and goes talk to her.
"Hey Mary!" Stevie is always nervous to talk to Mary, she doesn't know why.
"Hey honey!" Mary hugs her. "How are you, Stevie?" Stevie and her in-law start a fun conversation about teaching, and how it is important for kids to have a strong base in education for their futures and for their lives.
Diane joins the conversation and they begin to talk about family, politics, music (both Stevie and Diane grew up listening to country music) and when they realized it was already late.
"Geez, it's already 8:50pm, honey. Time to go home!" Duane says to Mary Jane, that hugs Stevie and searches for her granddaughters to say goodbye. "Thank you so much for having us, Stevie." Duane says and gives her a hug. "Thank you for making my daughter happy, and for really taking care of them." He is all teared up, and Stevie doesn't know what to say.
"Thank you for loving and supporting us. We will be forever thankful for that." She hugs him and points to her daughters that are running towards their grandpa, their grandma follows then, hugging her daughter's hand.
"Bye gandpaaa. We love you!" Robin hugs him, giving him a kiss. Barbara follows and does the same.
"Bye guys, drive safe. Let me know when you get home! Love you!" Tifani says before closing the door.
She smiles at Stevie, then she kisses her wife deeply, before walking away, swinging her hips, and making Stevie's mind go crazy
