****Mariah's POV****

It was Christmas Eve, and everybody was over the Rizzoli-Isles household for the day like every year. All the younger kids in the family were running around playing, the teenagers were having their own conversation at the island and us adults were in the living room with various conversations going on.

"Ma!! Ma!!" I heard as the running feet got closer. I turned to the side of the chair to see my 7-year-old mini-me standing there, her small hand tapping my arm.

"Yes, Roe Roe?" I said, and she grinned.

"Can I hold Elijah?" my daughter asked, pointing to her 6 week old brother in my arms.

"He's still eating right now, but I'll let you hold him after he's finished and burped." I answered Monroe, and she shrugged before making her way to Sasha and climbing in her lap.

"What are you doing, Roe?" Sasha giggled as Monroe started gathering her hair up.

"I'm gonna braid your hair, Mommy." Monroe answered, very matter-of-fact.

"You told me last week that you didn't like braiding my hair because it was too straight and didn't stay. Then you said that your ma's hair was better because it was thicker." Sasha told her.

"I know, but Ma's got Eli so....I can't braid her hair right now." Monroe explained.

"Well, I guess you can braid mi-" Sasha started, but went silent like the rest of the room did as Iolanda ran into the room shrieking.

"What's wrong, Lani?" Jane asked her seventeen year old, who had started crying at that point.

"I GOT IN!!! I GOT INTO YALE!!!" Iolanda shrieked as she practically tackling her mothers, who were seated next to each other on the love seat.

"Oh my!! I'm so proud of you, honey!!" Maura squealed, kissing all over Iolanda's face.

"Congratulations, Lani!!" I grinned.

"That's an amazing accomplishment!!" Sasha added, clapping her hands and smiling as well.

"Thanks!!" Iolanda responded to us, her smile still wide as she wiped her tears.

"You applied early decision, right?" Gianna asked her younger sister as she, and the other Rizzoli-Isles siblings, gathered around Iolanda.

"Yes!!"

"Awww, my grandbaby's going to the Ivy League!!" Angela exclaimed.

"Mommy, what is the Ivy League?" Monroe whispered to Sasha.

"It's a type of college, princess." Sasha answered, and Monroe nodded as she went back to braiding Sasha's hair. I smiled as I watched Monroe continue to work on Sasha's hair, then I looked down at Elijah and studied his face. Although I gave birth to him, Elijah looked exactly like Sasha.....he had the same round face, dark green eyes and faint dimples as Sasha, but that was because he came from Sasha's egg. I then looked back over at Monroe in Sasha's lap, and my smile grew as I watched Monroe finish Sasha's braid and lay her head on the left Sasha's chest. Monroe was definitely a mama's girl, and she often followed Sasha around while constantly asking to be carried or hugged by Sasha. They had that connection because despite Monroe biologically being mine, Sasha was the one who carried Monroe and breastfed her.

"Am I going to the Ivy League?" Monroe asked us, making both Sasha and I giggle.

"Well, that depends on if you want to go to one." I replied, looking into the dark brown eyes of our little girl.
