Mariah Oneshots

With You (prologue)

"I'd rather die than to be apart from you....I love you more than words describe, you know of this." the young Greek woman said.

"Then stay.....stay here in Tanis with me. I-I know I do not have much, but please stay with me." the young Egyptian woman responded.

"There is no way for us to be in love, we are not supposed to lie with each other as we do. Staying together is dangerous." the Greek whispered, her finger tips tracing the curve of the other woman's hip.

"We have a better chance of it here than we would elsewhere. Please, my love, I have already lost my family to the wars.....do not make me lose the love of my live, as well." the golden skinned woman pleaded.

"People will wonder where our husbands are.....people will know for us!"

"No, they will not! Some Persian women never marry, and it is not of alarm to anyone. Here in Egypt, there are women of Persian descent who decide not to marry.....and now it is becoming acceptable for some Egyptian women not to marry."

"That does not seem plausible."

"But it is, my love! We do things differently here in Egypt, and so do the Persians, than you Greeks do. Women in our empires can own property, and choose to live alone, an-" the Egyptian woman started.

"Exactly! Living alone is acceptable! But what is to be said about two women living together? What is to be said about two women lying down together as a man and a woman would? That is not accepted in any empire....Egyptian or Persian or Greek or Roman." the Greek women sadly stated.

"We need not to announce to others that we live together, and there is no way for others to know that we lie down together unless one of us explicitly speak it. Please, this can work. I love you too much to let you return to Argos, and I shall hope you love me too much to leave me behind in Tanis." the Egyptian woman told her partner, her golden-toned hand cupping the olive cheek of the Greek woman. The Greek woman stared into the dark eyes of her Egyptian lover, followed by leaning in and bringing their lips together. Their lips were only connected for a few moments longer before the Egyptian woman pulled away, resting her forehead against that of the other woman's.

"Please, don't leave me....." the Egyptian whispered.

"I will not leave you.....I will never leave you, my love. If being with you forever means my life, then it will be so." the Greek answered.

"I love you.....I love you so that it pains me." the Egyptian woman told her lover, tears rolling down her full cheeks.

"I love you so much more, my sweet girl."

Okay, so it's been literally over four months but.....spring semester literally kicked my ass, omg. Particularly, my physics and intro to psych classes EXTRA kicked my ass (and made life rough for me). But anyway, now it's over (it's been over since May 20, but I have been unpacking/getting my orientations done for work [which is in a hospital], doing my first week at work [hospital work isn't easy, but I actually really like working at a hospital and have decided to possibly pursue something within public medical health long term], and more)! So anyway, since it's finally over, I will attempt to be active on here again (as I have greatly missed writing)!! 

Regarding the Giving Me Life oneshot: I hit an extreme stuck spot there, so I'll probably have to revisit that at a later time. The idea is pretty different-ish, though, so I want to make sure I execute it well. Until this, I will continue going through the Caution album in order of how much I like each song!
